Give specific examples of how this class may have been intellectually stimulating
 
• Discussing the readings in class, I would have liked to have read them in class rather than assigned so many readings as homework especially in a
condensed half summer semester and having a full load of classes and full time work. Also if the readings were available as audio it would have also helped
me complete them since I have to do a lot of driving I could have done them during my commutes. I was extremely fascinating the topics that we covered in
this class.
• The course was very interactive and created an environment for learning.
• I wasn''t aware of creative nonfiction and this class opened my eyes to the genre and the possibility of wanting to give it a try on my own.
 
What aspects of this class contributed most to your learning? (Please give specific examples)
 
• 1) Instructor is very knowledgeable! Instructor was patient, kind, and provided feedback with our work. 2) Instructor also created a safe and approachable
classroom environment. 3) Great assignments to explore creative nonfiction.
• The most beneficial aspect was small class size.
• Discussions in class when Katie would explain the readings as well as when we did the workshops for the essays.
 
What aspects of this class detracted most from your learning? (Please give specific examples)
 
• All of the required readings, writers notebooks and in class prompts that were so different from one another and didn''t seam to build from one to another,
kind of scattered. Definitely felt overwhelming worrying about doing the reading and the writers notebook and the assigned essay for the module and trying
to make connections of the in class prompts.
• Fellow students created distractions due to tardiness and over­speaking.
• None, but I wish I took this course during the regular semester because it moved very fast. One suggestion is, reformatting the powerpoint slides.
