Usage of this document

The purpose of this guide is to give general information about how to mount and
use the Ametal buttons. This information will establish the maximum reliability in
the usage of the lift.

Attention!
Mounting the button requires technical information and skill thus the mounting
works which are done by users who are not authorized and good skilled, are not
correct.
The guide gives important ideas about how to let the buttons work in the good way.

Attention!
Points should take care of!
Wrong programming can cause wrong information.
Settings of the call center must be done by a professional skilled team.

AMETAL BUTTONS USER GUIDE

Ametal buttons are buttons that work with 24V, complying with all the lift
controllers.
You can produce signals that can comply with any type of the lift controllers.
Positive or negative triggering is not a problem. Because buttons are working by
using LED, they only draw a little current like 20mA at 24VDC (0,48W). LED’s that
are used in buttons are special type LED’s which emit brilliant light among 120
degree.

Generally LED color is red. But green and blue LED’s are available. In the buttons
MEC switch (Denmark), which is available for 10.000.000 press, are being used.
These switches can absorb 50mA at 24VDC. They can work between -40C and 115C.

Technical Specifications
Light Wave length (nm)
Red : 620-635 nm
Green : 565-575 nm
Blue : 460-470 nm
Press Number : 10.000.000

Electrical Connection
Working Voltage : 24V DC
Current Consumption : 15mA (24V DC)
Maximum Current : 1A

We have various kind of buttons which have names like M3, HMG 4, Nsk, HMG 50,
Nsk 60, FMQ, FMR, FMR R, HMG 4R, HMG 45, Nsk 55, Qnb RA, Qnb RAV, EOG 46,
EOG 46V, FMQ RT, FMR RT. We generally use one kind of color in our buttons. But
in Qnb RA, Qnb RAV and HMG 4R type buttons, we can use two types of color.
In two types of color buttons, different than the other buttons, when a signal
comes it changes its color.
FMQ RT and FMR RT are touching type buttons.

Electrical Connection Figure

Positive or negative triggering signals can be produced by changing the place of the
sockets. When the power supply cable “24V, 0V” is plugged on “SW1 – LED-” socket,
and when “SW2-LED+” socket pins bridged, “SW2-LED+” socket becomes as positive
triggering floor signal. Else if when the power supply cable “24V, 0V” is plugged on
“SW2 – LED+” socket, and when “SW1-LED-” socket pins bridged, “SW1-LED-”
socket becomes as positive triggering floor signal.

You can see the connection diagrams of different kinds of triggering bellow.

If you want to make connection for lift controllers which have separate LED and
floor signals, the connection can be made like bellow.

When more than one buttons should be used you have to carry 24V DC to every
buttons. This means using more cables. To prevent that, for every connection two
sockets have been used together. For that reason when one socket has 24VDC the
other one has too. You can use the other socket as the out put of 24VDC. How to
make connection for positive and negative triggering with more than buttons is
showed bellow.

When button signal wanted to be made with two colors, it must be declared at the
order. In addition, you must declare triggering of the control panel too. Because
triggering can not be changed by changing cables.
