    Recruitment Practices

    Activity Date Description


    Students have an opportunity to meet the teachers
    Meet the Teacher 7-30-18 prior to the start of the new year. At this time,
    students/parents receive syllabus and information
    about the pathway, course offerings, courses, etc...

    The counselors provided information on academic


    Curriculum Night 8-16-2018 opportunities, leadership development and creating
    a post-secondary plan. See the schedule below for
    details:

    Thursday Aug. 16th


    Fine Arts Auditorium
    9th/10th grade: 6:00-7:00 p.m.
    College Panel: 7:00-7:30 p.m.
    11th/12th grade: 7:30-8:30 p.m.

    Mr. Venture brings his students over to visit the


    MBMS visits NOHS 8-30-2018 CTAE classrooms. A program/pathway
    representative is appointed to talk with the middle
    school students about the pathway and classroom
    activities.

    Students from the feeder middle school, Malcom


    Career Fair 11-16-2018 Bridge Middle School will visit various booths to
    learn about different career opportunities. NOHS
    BCS has table set up and present students
    information on course offerings as well as potential
    career options. This event takes place at the
    Oconee County Civic Center.

    9th grade parent meeting: 5:30-6:00pm in NOHS


    Curriculum Night 1-31-19 Auditorium
    Curriculum Fair for all students (rising 9th and
    current NOHS students): 6:15-7:45pm at NOHS
    main building.

    **During the Curriculum Fair students/parents will


    be able to select various informational sessions
    related to NOHS Course Offerings.
