Lumber, 84. “84 Lumber Super Bowl Commercial - The Entire Journey.” YouTube, YouTube, 5

Feb. 2017, www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPo2B-vjZ28.

This YouTube video is about the travels of a mother and daughter into America, crossing

at the border. I used this video to capture the scene that I wanted to recreate for my

artwork while also using the entire commercial as a outline for what the artwork signifies.

“Feminism criticism” Critical Theory Today: a User-Friendly Guide, by Lois Tyson, Routledge,

2015, pp. 78-126.

This is the fourth chapter of the education book which discussed theories and ideologies

which impact modern society as well as its past. I used this chapter in the way of learning

from the studies and the knowledge to greater my mind in thinking critically on this topic

of feminism to better execute the artwork which speaks a greater volume to the audience.

“Marxist criticism.” Critical Theory Today: a User-Friendly Guide, by Lois Tyson, Routledge,

2015, pp. 51-77.

The third chapter in the education book which discussed the theories and ideologies

which are discussed and learned about today explained why society is how it is today.

This chapter was knowledgeable in helping me understand the classes and how there

are the rich and poor, while incorporating this into my artwork. While learning about this

chapter I better had an understanding of what it means to be not give the opportunity of
equality in society and how artworks like mine may be able to spark discussion in society

today for better social change.

"Women's Rights and Sexual Harassment: Are Further Steps Necessary to Ensure Gender

Equality?" Issues & Controversies, Infobase Learning, 4 Jan.

2018,http://icof.infobaselearning.com/recordurl.aspx?ID=6344. Accessed 1 Feb. 2019.

This source is an article discussing the ways that feminism is insulated in society and

how we can continue to improve on making society more equal for all. I used this source

to be able to add to my knowledge of how important it is to treat women with equal

opportunity. They discuss how Hillary Clinton ran for president and almost won, the

movement of me too and how recognizing abusers is essential in making the world safer

for growing generation. Not allowing for no disrespect in any sense take part in society

today is an important concept to follow and comprehend because it allows for the new

generation to have opportunities that the past didn’t.
