Ruiz&Pav) Terhadap Penurunan Kadar Kolesterol Total Pada Tikus Putih Jantan

Daun Sirih Merah adalah tanaman yang memiliki fitokimia seperti alkaloid,
flavonoid, saponin, tanin dan polifenol, yang diduga mempunyai efek dalam
menurunkan kadar kolesterol total, oleh karena itu telah dilakukan penelitian tentang
uji efektivitas kekstrak etanol daun sirih merah (Piper crocatum Ruiz&Pav) terhadap
penurunan kadar kolesterol total pada tikus putih jantan (Rattus norvegicus).
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan kemampuan ekstrak daun sirih merah
dalam menurunkan kadar kolesterol total terhadap tikus putih jantan dan menentukan
dosis daun sirih merah yang paling efektif dalam menurunkan kadar kolesterol total.
Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK).
Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji statistic one way (ANOVA)
pada taraf kepercayaan 95% yang menggunakan 25 ekor tikus putih jantan dibagi
dalam 5 kelompok perlakuan, tiap perlakuan terdiridari 5 ekor. Kelompok I sebagai
control positif menggunakan simvastatin, kelompok II sebagai kontrol negatif yang
diberi suspensi Na CMC 0,5%, kelompok III, IV dan V diberi ekstrak etanol daun
sirih merah masing-masing dengan dosis 500 mg/kg BB, 750 mg/kg BB dan 1000
mg/kg BB. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan variasi dosis ekstrak etanol daun
sirih merah terbukti mampu menurunkan kadarkolesterol total terhadap tikus putih
jantan, dan berdasarkan uji lanjut Duncan diperoleh hasil bahwa dosis ekstrak etanol
daun sirih merah yang efektif adalah 500 mg/kg BB.

Red betel leaf is a plant that its Leaf contains chemicals contents such as
alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins and polyphenols, which are thought to have
an effect in lowering total cholesterol levels; therefore this study f the effectivity of
Fabaut the test of ethanol extract of leaf of red betel leaf (Piper crocatum Ruiz &
Pav) to decrease levels of total cholesterol male white rats ( Rattus norvegicus )
hypercholesterolemia. This study aims to prove the ability of ethanol extract of the
leaf of the soursop in lowering total cholesterol levels of the male rats
hypercholesterolemia and determine dose soursop leaf Fare most effective in
lowering Flohich total cholesterol levels in male rats . The design study was a
randomized block design ( RBD ). Data were analyzed using statistical one way tests
( ANOVA ) at the level of 95 % using 25 male rats which was divided into 5 groups ,
each treatment consisted of 5 mice . Group I as a positive control which was given the
suspension of simvastatin , group II as a negative control which were given
suspension of Na CMC 0,5 % , group III , IV and V were given ethanol extract of
soursop leaf each with a dose of 500 mg/kg , 750 mg/kg and 1000 mg/kg . All
treatment groups were given high- cholesterol feed . Based on the results of the study
show that the dose variation soursop leaf ethanol extract prove to reduce total
cholesterol levels of white male rats . Based on Duncan advanced test show that the
dose of ethanol extract effective red betel leaf is 500 mg / kg .
