Sustainability Week Application Proposal


The Office of Sustainability is hosting Sustainability Week April 8th-12th, and we are currently
reaching out to the College of Charleston and the broader Charleston community in hopes of
involving all spheres of the community in this event. We encourage a broad spectrum of
diverse event proposals to engage the community in sustainability through creative and
interactive opportunities, including speakers, panel discussions, workshops, performances,
and exhibitions. All ideas are welcome!

The Student Committee will then review your proposal, provide feedback (if necessary), and
make a recommendation to Office of Sustainability Staff for final approval. Proposals most
likely to be funded are thorough, comprehensive, engaging, topical, and complete. You
MUST submit an estimated budget! A high degree of self-sufficiency and collaboration will be
looked upon favorably by the Committee.

The number of events funded per day of Sustainability Week (M-F) depends on funding and
venue availability. The Office will help plan and execute approximately three events per day.

If you have any questions, please contact the Student Committee Chair Sylvie Baele at
sgbaele@cofc.edu. All event applications are due Wednesday, February 5th at 5:00pm.
Once completed, we encourage all applicants to print their application by saving it as a PDF.
Applicants will be notified before the end of February if their submission has been accepted!
