merciful and the creator of everything. Peace be upon to Prophet Muhammad

SAW and his family and his companions. He is the great leader and good

inspiration in the world. Alhamdulillahi robbil ‘alamin for Allah’s favors,

blessings and mercies to me in finishing this thesis entitled Local Wisdom in

English textbook entitled Bahasa Inggris When English Ring a Bell for Seventh

and eighth grade in Junior high school.

In arranging this thesis, many people have given their contribution. The

thesis not be completed without the helps, supports and suggestion from several

peoples. This profitable possibility, the researcher express his high gratitude and
