Diah Nur Mauludiah is a nursing student who was interviewed about her experience in the hospital during clinical practice. She graduated from a high school in West Java and chose to become a nurse because she finds it a noble profession. During her first clinical practice at RSUP Persahabatan lung hospital, she was nervous but adapted over time. While tiring at times, seeing patients recover made the hard work worthwhile. The seniors provided kind guidance and opportunities to care for patients. After graduating, Diah plans to continue her studies and work in a hospital.

Bella : Good morning Diah : Morning Bella : Let me introduce my self miss. My name is Bella Trisnawati, i want to interview you. Are you ready? Diah : Yes, Bella. Please. Bella : What is your name? Diah : My name is Diah Nur Mauludiah. You can call me diah. Bella : Did you graduate from high school or vocational school? Diah : I graduated from Senior high school 1 Kuningan West java. Bella : Why did you choose to be a nurse? Diah : Because nursing is a great job, nurse treats sick people so they are going to get well soon. Bella : Are you proud to be a nurse? If yes, why? Diah : Yes of course I’m proud to be a nurse, I feel comfortable with this job, because nurse's job is very noble. And my parents really want me to be a nurse. Bella : How was your feeling for the first time clinical practice in hospital? Diah : The first time I practiced the clinic at the hospital, I was nervous and confused what to do, but day by day I was able to adapt to my clinical practice. And I felt good. Bella : Where did you do your clinical practice for the first time? Diah : My first clinical practice is at RSUP Persahabatan. The hospital is famous. It’s a lung hospital. Bella : Did you feel tired or not while doing clinical practice? Diah : Of course. Because we worked so hard. But when we saw our patient is healthy and able to go home, our fatigue is gone. But overall i felt good. Bella : Did you have a happy story in hospital? Diah : Yes, I had. When we were doing clinical practice, we definitely got a lot of experiences and very fun. Beside it, the seniors are very kind there and always guide us. I think that was a happy story. Bella : Did you have a sad story in hospital? Diah : Yes I had. When I was in the midwifery room for the first time, I was scolded by CI because I didn’t give her attendance list. I was very afraid and alhamdulillah it could be solved well. I think that was a sad story. Bella : How was your feeling when you take care patient? Diah : At the beginning I felt tired and complained a lot. But as time goes by I felt comfortable with this job, because nurse's job is very noble job. I had no regrets to go to the nursing department of Health Poltekkes Kemenkes Jakarta 3. Bella : How long did you practice in hospital? Diah : I practiced in hospital for 3 weeks. And every week we moved to the other room. Bella : What did you do in the hospital? Diah : I gave health education to patients and their family. For example how to wash hands properly, the steps are: Palm to palm, the back of the hand, in between of the fingers, the back of the fingers, the thumbs, the tips of the fingers and the last wash your hand with water. Finish. Bella : Is there any fear when the first time you give nursing care to patient? Diah : Yes, of course. The first time i gave nursing care, my patient was very afraid of me. My patient was afraid that I would do mistake in giving nursing care.
Bella : How about your patient?
Diah : The patients are good there and they follow nurse’s instruction. But there were also patients who were fussy because in essence the patient is a unique creature. Bella : How about the seniors there? Diah : Senior nurses are very kind and always guide us. Beside it, they always give us opportunity to give nursing care to patient. Bella : What is your future plan after graduate from this campus? Diah : After I graduate from here, I will continue my study and work at the hospital. Bella : Okay miss, i think enough.
