COTTONSEED, OIL & MEAL

CONCLAVE 2019
23rd-24th March 2019, Hyderabad

ALL INDIA COTTONSEED CRUSHERS’

ASSOCIATION

SUPPORTED BY
TELANGANA OIL INDUSTRIES AND TRADE ASSOCIATION
SEA – AICOSCA COTTONSEED, OIL & MEAL CONCLAVE 2019
INVITATION
25th Dec., 2018
Dear Friends,

Cotton is the only unique crop that provides clothing, food and feed for
the use of man kind. The Solvent Extractors' Association of India (SEA) &
All India Cottonseed Crushers' Association (AICOSCA) are pleased to inform
the 2nd Cottonseed, Oil & Meal Conclave – 2019 to be held on 23rd-24th March
2019 at Marigold Hotels, Hyderabad-500016, Telangana, India to focus on
cottonseed oil, cake and meal.

This year, kharif crop acreage under cotton is reported at 120.64 million hectare
raising the hope for cotton to the tune 32.5 million bales (170 kg. per bale).
Cottonseed forms 2/3 of cotton by weight. The current production of cottonseed oil
in the country is about 13.0 lakh tonnes, next to rapeseed and soybean oil. Gujarat
is a major state consuming nearly 5.0 lakh tonnes of cottonseed oil as direct
cooking oil due to its unique frying property, however, in the rest of the states,
cottonseed oil is not very popular as a house hold cooking oil and mainly used by
bulk consumers like Food industry and also hotels, restaurants & canteens for
frying purpose.

Cottonseed oil praised for being low in trans fat, is often used as a cooking oil
because it can help to bring out the flavor of the food rather than masking them.
Also, cottonseed oil is known to help in checking high cholesterol & blood pressure,
arthritis, gout, dementia; Alzheimer's disease, a few cancers, inflammatory
conditions, wounds, cuts, scrapes and skin condition. It also helps speedy healing,
improves cognitive health, prevents prostate cancer, boosts immune system and
reduces inflammation.

Cottonseed oil is known as a best frying oil in the world. The fried food
prepared in cotton seed oil remains fresh for 3-4 weeks without turning
rancid, while fried food prepared using other oils turns rancid much earlier.

To highlight the best frying property and the virtues of cottonseed oil, SEA &
AICOSCA are holding this 2nd Conclave at Hyderabad to create public awareness.
The Conclave will also focus on scientific processing of cottonseed, nutritional
value and better usage of cottonseed cake/meal in cattle feed to achieve high
productively of milk.

We are inviting speakers from cotton and cottonseed fraternity and scientists to
address the delegates. The Conclave programme will also include the Panel
Discussion on “Promotion of Cottonseed Oil as Good Cooking Oil” and
“Price Outlook for Cottonseed Oil, Cake and Meal”.

We are expecting over 250 delegates from all over India to participate in the
Conclave and take this opportunity to cordially invite you to be a part of this
Conclave at Hyderabad by registering as a delegate and actively participate in the
deliberations.

Looking forward to receive you at this important event on Cottonseed oil.

Yours faithfully,

P. Kotirao Atul Chaturvedi Sandeep Bajoria
