11 GENERAL ORDERS

1. General Order No. 1 - To take charge of this post and all government property in view.
2. General Order No. 2 - To walk my post in a military manner, keeping always on the alert
and observing everything that takes place within sight or hearing.
3. General Order No. 3 - To report all violation of orders I am instructed to enforce.
4. General Order No. 4 - To repeat all calls from posts more distant from the guardhouse
than my own.
5. General Order No. 5 - To quit my post only when properly relieved.
6. General Order No. 6 - To received, obey, and pass on the sentinel who relieves me all
orders from the commanding officer, office of the day, and officer andnon-
commissioned officers of the guard only.
7. General Order No. 7 - To talk to one except in the line of duty.
8. General Order No. 8 - To give the alarm in case of fire or disorder.
9. General Order N0. 9 - To call the commander of the guard in any case notcovered by
instructions.
10. General Order No. 10 - To salute all officers, and all colors and standards not cased.
11. General Order No. 11 - To be especially watchful at night, and during the time for
challenging, to challenge all personal on or near my post, and to allow no one to pass
without proper authority.

AFP CODE OF CONDUCT

I. I AM A FILIPINO SOLDIER. I WILL SUPPORT AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE


REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES.

II. I AM A FILIPINO SOLDIER. I WILL FIGHT ALL FORCES THAT WOULD DESTROY THE
FREEDOM AND INDEPENDENCE OF THE FILIPINO PEOPLE.

III. I AM A FILIPINO SOLDIER. I WILL OBEY LAWS, LEGAL ORDERS OF MY LAWFUL SUPERIORS
AT ALL TIMES.

IV. I AM A FILIPINO SOLDIER. I WILL UPHOLD THE SUPREMACY OF CIVILIAN AUTHORITY


OVER THE MILITARY IN WAR OR IN PEACE.

V. I AM A FILIPINO SOLDIER. I WILL LIVE AND DIE IN TRUE FILIPINO TRADITION OF VALOR
AND HONOR, DUTY AND LOYALTY.

TO ALL THESE; I PLEDGE MY LIFE, MY TREASURE AND MY PRICELESS HONOR.

PLEDGE OF LOYALTY

If you work a man, in heaven's name, work for him, speak well of him, and stand
by the institution he represents. Remember, an ounce of loyalty is worth a pound of
cleverness. If you must growl condemn and eternally find fault, why not? Resign your
position! And where you are in the outside, damn to your part of this institution, do not
condemn it. If you do, the first high wind that comes along will blow you away. And
probably, you'll never know why.
