1. Have the students walk around and look at
pictures attached to the walls. Ask them what

2. Instruct Ss to look at picture in page 10 and
describe the children in the picture, before
matching pictures and descriptions, showing an
example.
3. Ask Ss: what do you think a healthy weigh is?
And after we have written the ideas, we divide
the class into pairs and they discuss with their
partner who in the picture has a healthy weigh.

1. Divide the class into pairs and they will take
two lumps of clay about the same size and
make two human figures, then ask: do you

2. Play popcorn to read health problems and
overweight. Ss circle in the text all the
problems diabetes can cause. At the end we
will write some notes about the topic to a
classmate pretending he is absent.
3. Complete the anatomical illustration, asking
them about what problem could be suffered in
each organ.
4. Optional: Homework, Ss will write a definition
for the new vocabulary using their own words.

2. Focus reading or stolen reading, if someone does
not pay attention we will start again.
3. Instruct students to come up with questions using
the highlighted words and then select five to ask
to their partners. Check and answer as a class.
4. Elycit types of eating disorders before directing Ss
to fill the chart for activity 9.
