ASKING AND GIVING INFORMATION

 Menyatakan bahwa waktu tersebut tidak tepat


Formal : “Unfortunately, I don’t think I won’t be available at that time because...”,
“I will be out of town next Sunday, but I will be available on Monday in
the afternoon.”
Informal : “I’m afraid I can’t meet you today. What about tomorrow?”
“Wednesday is going to be a bit difficult, I will be quite busy that day.
What about Saturday?
“Can we meet up on Sunday instead of Saturday?”
 Menentukan waktu pertemuan
Formal : “Shall we meet around 8.30 in the morning?”
“What sort of time would suit you?”
Informal : “I’d like to meet at lunch”
“Is dinner time good for us to meet?”
“How does 12.30 sound to you?”
 Membatalkan janji pertemuan sekaligus minta maaf
Formal : “Would it be possible to schedule the meeting for another? I have a
sudden change of plan this weekend.”
“I’m afraid I have to cancel/postpone our meeting because...”
Informal : “I’m sorry about cancelling our meeting, can we fix another time to
meet?”
“Can we make another time?”
“Something just came up and I won’t be able to come this afternoon.”
 Mengonfirmasi janji pertemuan
Formal : “Please confirm/let me know if this date and time is convenient for you.”
Informal : “Would you let me know if Friday morning okay for you?”

 Expression of appointment
 I’d like to arrange an appointment to discuss... (Saya ingin membuat janji untuk
membahas...)
 Would you please indicate a suitable time and place to meet? (Silahkan Anda
menunjukkan waktu dan tempat yang tepat untuk bertemu)
 Would it be possible to meet up at your/our offices to discuss...? (Apakah mungkin
untuk bertemu di/kantor kami untuk mendiskusikan...?)
 Can we meet up to talk about...? (Bisakah kita bertemu untuk berbicara tentang...?)

 Suggesting a time ( Memberi saran untuk waktunya)


 Would Thursday suit you? (Apakah hari Kamis cocok dengan Anda?)

 Agreeing to an appointment
 (Formal) Thank you for your e-mail. I’d be available to discuss... on (date) at (time

 (Informal) Friday sounds fine. Shall we say around (time) at (place)? (Jumat
terdengar baik. Kita akan bertemu sekitar (waktu) di (tempat)?)

 Saying a time is not convenient (Mengatakan waktunya tidak pas)


 Unfortunately, I will be away on business during the week of April 6-11, so I will be
unable to meet you then. However, if you were available in the following week, I
would be glad to arrange a meeting with you. (Sayangnya, saya akan pergi untuk
urusan bisnis selama sepekan 6-11 April, jadi saya tidak dapat bertemu dengan anda.
Namun, jika Anda bisa di pekan selanjutnya, saya akan senang untuk mengatur
pertemuan dengan Anda.)
 I will be out of the office on Wednesday and Thursday, but I will be available on

 Would it be possible to arrange another time later in the week? (Apakah mungkin
untuk mengatur waktu lain kemudian dalam sepekan?)
 I’m afraid that I have to cancel our meeting on Tuesday, as something unexpected
has come up. (Saya takut bahwa saya harus membatalkan pertemuan kami pada

 Untuk memulai atau menjawab pertanyaan via telepon bisa dijawab dengan
menggunakan contoh dibawah ini:
