Dear Mary,

The Sunset Empire Park & Recreation District Board of Directors appreciates your time
and desire to serve as an appointed member of the Board of Directors. After reviewing
the candidates, the Board has elected to appoint Rodney Roberts to fill the current
vacancy. There were several qualified and noteworthy applicants that were interested
in this position and it was a difficult decision for the Board to make.

As a reminder, the Board is filled with five elected officials. This Spring, there will be two
board positions up for election, both District 4 and District 5 directors. We encourage
you to consider applying and the application period is open now and closes on March
21. More information can be available through the Clatsop County elections office, or
through Skyler Archibald, Executive Director at SEPRD.
