B. ANALYSIS
Class, How did you find the activity? Yes from Sir we enjoyed guessing the name of opera singers
Group 2. and their voices.
Okay Very Good!. What did you observe from Sir they are different from each other. Some are
the voices of the singers? Yes from Group 4. high and others are low pitched.
Very Good Class! So for now let us move on to our
topic for today which is the musical structure of
Vocal Ranges of Romantic Period.
c. ABSTRACTION
Lets begin with the Components of an Opera. Libretto is the text of an opera.
Then what do you call the person that work together It is Librettist and composer sir
to tell the story? Yes Divine

How about the second one , Yes Miriam. Score is the book that the composer and librettist
put together. It has all the musical notes, words and
ideas to help the performers tell the story.
Yes the third one is Recitative. Kindly Read John. Declamatory singing, used in the prose parts and
dialogue of opera.
And the last one is Aria, kindly read Arvin. Is an air solo singing part that the public will
remember best when learning the opera house.
The first is soprano, kindly read Mark. Soprano is the highest female voice.
The next one is Contralto please read Ronel. Contralto is the lowest female voice and most
unique among female voice .
Next one is Mezzo Soprano,please read Gloria Is the most common female voice ; strong middle
voice, tone is darker or deeper than the soprano.
Next is coloratura, kindly read the meaning Joshua. Highest soprano voice
Under coloratura is the Lyric and Dramatic
Read What is is lyric and Dramatic , Yes Audrey. Lyric is the bright and full sound while dramatic has
darker full sound.
The first one is Tenor, What is tenor?, Yes Denver. It is the highest male voice sir.
The next one is the Baritone, Kindly read the meaning It is the middle male voice. It lies down between
of it Angelica. bass and tenor .
