AND ME
The Esoteric Order of Beelzebub

During an EOB discussion in Prague, it was noted that some folks seem to express a little
confusion over EOB - what it is and what it does. “Why is that?” we began to ponder. I think
Napzaelbeel said it best, “With EOB you either can’t put your finger on it no matter what anyone
tells you, ​or, ​you get it right away and know it is the place you need to be.”

In any case, this led to further discussion eventually resulting in the following offerings of how
various Cosmonauts articulate whatever it is that we’re doing.

Cygnus:
Where am I at this very moment? (Never mind the vexatious question of ​who am I​ this very
moment?) How may I Become more than I am now? These questions, and more presented
below, are at the core of my Work within the EoB.

The EoB uses various models to explore these questions, and myriad others, as individual Needs
dictate. Currently the model that I most resonate with is the one called Exploration of Deepness
in which the Initiate strives to build a rapport with his or her essential Self or Daemon. This
rapport requires a centering of the mind and a stilling of the multiplicity of “I’s” that vie for
attention. Once a conscious and ongoing attempt is made to center and still the droning static
interference of the mind the Initiate can focus on Transmissions from the Daemon. By opening to
the Daemon the Initiate also opens to the intensity and awe-filled caress of the Black Flame.

The Black Flame is a rarified and special substance. Few are aware of it and fewer still cultivate
it. The source of the Black Flame is, in the terminology I use, synonymous with Deepness. Once
the “I’s” are identified and observed regularly, especially through the use of psychological
anchors and practices, the Black Flame can be opened to/cultivated and applied to acts of
creation and Becoming.

When I am alone in my Chamber, for example, and my personality and my Daemon are aligned
in the common goal of communion I can open to Transmissions and the Black Flame. When I
open to the Black Flame I receive thoughts, images or sounds that provide me with Initiatory
insight or direction. This does not seem to come from “me” but rather it seems to arrive from an
outside presence (whether this is an accurate assumption or not is irrelevant...it is part of an
Initiatory model not a claim of ontological fact). This Transmission is something quite different
from “normal” thought and it is unmistakable once the Initiate becomes Aware.

Transmissions can occur individually and intersubjectively. The Cosmonauts of the EoB seem to
have many insights and receive similarly tones or themed “Transmissions” as a result of our
Workings. Is this coincidence? Of course it is. However, Jung defined synchronicity as
“meaningful coincidence” and this was what I have observed in my time in the EoB, especially
when we gather in person or when we Work simultaneously with the Sirius Workings. The EoB
has a very curious sense of Play and Wonder at its core, at least as I have come to see it. We in
the Esoteric Order of Beelzebub refer to each other as “Cosmonauts” and I use the term with an
immense sense of pride. This designation was not present at the birth of the Order but it has
become a beautiful tradition. We Cosmonauts explore the dark reaches of Being and Becoming.
We immerse ourselves in the questions: What is the Black Flame? What is S.E.T.? And, as
indicated above: What and where am “I”? Transmissions are insights to those and other Initiatory
questions. I see the Self or Daemon as the immediate source of the Transmission but is the
ultimate origin of that “Transmission” that passed from the Daemon something Other than the
Daemon? I have no idea. I prefer, instead, to focus on this questions: How can I apply the
Inspiration from the Transmission in the objective universe to further my Initiation and
Becoming and, thereby, transform the multi-verse(s) “I” inhabit? While the EoB plays with a
“spacey” aesthetic we are not sci-fi nuts. However, I cannot help but quote ​2001: A Space
Odyssey: “​ My god...it’s full of stars!” That sense of wonder, terror and awe at the Deepness of
Being and Becoming is at the very core of my Work within the EoB.

Napzelbeel:
To me the EoB is an environment in which I can explore my full potential as a human being.
Hardcore Setian and purely Initiatory endeavors can be undertaken in the Elements, ToS proper
or on my own. Thus to me the EoB is more like a threshold where mystery, awesomeness,
inspiration, personal interests and reality can come together and bloom. I think it is hard to grasp
because it feels like a platform for Re-inclusion, once Xeperu, if you catch my drift.

Sobek-Ptah:
To me, at this time, the Order has two supremely important features that define it and make it
unique:

1. A profound and serious approach to cultivating and - as we say now - leveraging Essence
and Energy.
2. “Satanic Futurism”
Under the influence of these elements, my time and activity in this Order have played a key role
in eliciting my own related concepts of Daemonic Integration and World-Building that are so
essential to my Work now. While these themes were always dominant within me, the Order
played a crucial role in their emergence.

Orlog:
The Order is a place for me to explore and use what could be called the “Creative Urge” or
perhaps my “Musings”. I constantly fight a battle to ensure proportionality exists in my life, and
the Order balances out my more Apollonian, justice-seeking self with my more hidden, Dionysan
self. Creativity and the changes that emanate from creating something new are all bundled into a
part of me that is like a sacred, hidden relic that I keep in me that I only release in sacred spaces.
The Order is like a sacred space that we all share as Explorers, and we bring our sacred Gifts
together into this space to make something that much more powerful.

DenexeneD:
The EoB to me is a collective of creative people, who in their own ways are attempting to
explore questions about the origin of the Black Flame, its presence in humans and beyond, and
how to make better use of it in the here and now. Hanbledzoin [the EoB’s on-line forum] helps
us stay in quite good touch about what we are doing, although none of us are shy about that
anyway, seems to be like a sacred space amidst the rammy of others in the various other
elements and study groups, orders and forums like stars and moons.

Komodokat:
What does the EoB mean to me?

1. The exploration of Xeper through the process of individuation of the Self, utilizing a
diverse amount of models and approaches, unique to its members.
2. The exploration of the Black Flame, the Energy of Setian initiation that inspires and
ignites willed action for Becoming.
3. The fusions of 1 and 2 in order to achieve higher states of Being, aspiration towards the
Essential or Daemonic Self through our Work.

The EoB is a special Order, because it is not limited to one system or approach to Setian
initiation. Members utilize a wide variety of techniques, creative channels, models and even
forms of social engineering, in order for Xeper and Remanifestation to occur.

Through the enhancement, experimentation, and unique methods paid towards individual
enlightenment, members of the Order are referred to as ‘Cosmonauts” or Explorers, continuing
the search on the road less travelled.
For me, the title Cosmonaut is fIng, because it refers to the vast and uncharted terrain of mystery,
space, time, and beyond. The latter could be metaphors pertaining to one’s existence and the
questions surrounding it, our experiences that shape us, and lastly the continuous search for
meaning or self-fulfillment. In Setian initiation, I think it is vital and necessary to examine our
relationship to the world at large, so that inner balance may be achieved. We must be able to
expand and shatter the subjective doors of illusion, so that new planes of objectivity and
Self-awareness will arise.

I am proud to call myself a Cosmonaut, an explorer charting a map for myself, in what I refer to
simply as the game of life. As I continue on my path, it is my hope to gain more understanding of
‘Who I Am’ and what my purpose may be in the grand schema of things. In my opinion, this aim
would be impossible to strive for, without the initial desire, interaction and exchange I receive
from others walking similar lines. Nor would it be transformative without the positive as well as
negative experiences I encounter throughout my daily life. Embracing everything as a part of the
process thus contributes to the aim for harmony, as no stone is left unturned.

Korvus:
It means to me, to be in it. At my last Conclave I remember being somewhat stumped when
asked to describe the EoB. There is an Essence about the EoB that is hard to fit into words, like it
is something one understand on deeper levels, than the ones that run on language.

What drew me to the Order originally? Fourth Way philosophy has always played a part in my
initiation and the Order’s work with it drew my initial attention, but it was far more than just
that, there is a somewhat Material focus to my explorations of the Self, as I ponder how exactly
an Isolate Self comes into being in a material universe; how the Unnatural is born of Nature...I
just knew on a deep level that the EoB was a space uniquely well suited to explore these ideas.

For me there is also this strange and intriguing Sci-fi essence/current in the EoB. this is
something I really cannot put into words (at least not yet), and is something central to my own
received Transmissions and initiatory focus. More than anything else it is my following of this
current that lead me into the EoB. In fact it was a startingly intense and Magical dream that
clinched my decision to apply to the EoB. a dream in which the sky was full of Alien saucers, the
combined sound of their engine creating an utterly terrifying sound. But such a bright and
terrifying sound that I could not get enough od, when the terror woke me from the dream all I
wanted to do was return to that dream and hear that sound again. But there was something very
special within this sound, I could tell in this dream that there was something being carried within
the sound - a signal within a carrier wave. This I believe was my first introduction to something
that I feel is central to the Order, and that is the concept of Transmissions.
Though I’m sure Transmissions are not unique to the Order, I do feel that the EoB is a place
uniquely well suited to explore them. I’m speaking here od received Transmissions, currents and
forces we connect with, or connect with us, during the course of our initiation, and magical
explorations. In my own experience these Transmissions are something that come from beyond
the Self or deep within it (a descending Octave perhaps?). Such are things that are beyond
language, or very hard to put into words at least. This is why I feel we produce so much
wonderful Art, of so many different types within the Order. I know my own Sound art and
Painting are methods I use to try and understand the Transmissions I am receiving. These same
methods of course can be used to broadcast our own unique Transmissions out into the universe,
(an ascending Octave?).
