Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be

thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags
should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause
later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for
replacement.

1. Use Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to position engine (28) onto the
machine. The weight of engine (28) is approximately 862 kg (1900 lb).

2. Install bolts (30) on both sides of the engine.

3. Apply Tooling (C) to bolts (29). Install bolts (29) and tighten bolts (29) to a
torque of 70 ± 15 N·m (52 ± 11 lb ft).

4. Remove Tooling (B) from the engine.

5. Remove Tooling (A) from torque converter (24) .

6. Install connector (26) and connect tube assembly (27) if the machine is equipped
with an axle oil cooler.

7. Install belt (25). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belts - Remove /
Adjust / Replace".

8. Connect hose assembly (23) .

9. Connect hose (22) if the machine is equipped with an axle oil cooler.

End By:

a. Install the muffler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Muffler - Remove and
Install".
b. Install the hydraulic tank. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic Tank
- Install".
c. Install the cooling system package. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly,
"Cooling System Package (Radiator, Fan, Aftercooler, Oil Cooler) - Install".
