Psalm 32:7
A True Story
Written By
Mary Carroll
Jesus Came
And
Set The
Captives Free
Introduction
Revelation 12:11
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb,
and by the word of their testimony,
and they did not love their lives to the death.
1 John 1:9
9 If we confess our sins,
He is faithful
and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Psalm 95:6-7
6 Oh come, let us worship
and bow down;
Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.
7 For He is our God,
And we are the people of His pasture,
And the sheep of His hand.
CHAPTER 1
The Promise
Luke 1:30
30 Then the angel said to her,
“Do not be afraid, Mary,
for you have found favor with God.
And behold,
you will conceive in your womb
and bring forth a Son,
and shall call His name
JESUS.”
Isaiah 7:14
14 Therefore the Lord Himself
will give you a sign:
Behold,
the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son,
and shall call His name Immanuel.
I, like Mary, have been pregnant with a specific
promise from God. My special promise is this book. Unlike
Mary’s pregnancy, the words in this book had to develop
longer than the average nine-month gestation period.
This book has been maturing for many years, fifty-nine
years to be exact. Like the birth of Jesus, my promise was
also destined to come forth at a precise time. That time
has arrived.
While typing out this chapter, God gave me a dream.
In this dream, I was a very pregnant woman and because
I had been carrying this unborn baby over a prolonged
period, my stomach was enormous. Birthing this baby
was painless, unlike the delivery of my own children, in
which I demanded an epidural. The symbolization of my
night dream represents the countless years of growth and
the pain free release of this unique book.
Isaiah 66:7
7 Before she was in labor,
she gave birth;
Before her pain came,
She delivered a male child.
Isaiah 55:11
11 So shall My word be
that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing
for which I sent it.
Mark 4:32
32 but when it is sown,
it grows up,
and becomes greater than all herbs,
and shoots out large branches,
so that the birds of the air
may nest under its shade.
2 Corinthians 2:14-16
14 Now thanks be to God
who always leads us in triumph in Christ,
and through us diffuses the fragrance of
His knowledge in every place.
15 For we are to God the
fragrance of Christ among those
who are being saved,
and among those who are perishing.
16 To the one we are the aroma
of death leading to death,
and to the other the aroma of
life leading to life.
Isaiah 55:11
11 So shall My word be that
goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please.
Matthew 13:23
23 But he who received seed
on the good ground is he
who hears the word and understands it,
who indeed bears fruit and produces:
some a hundredfold,
some sixty,
some thirty.
Isaiah 61:3
3 To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise
for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called
trees of righteousness,
The planting of the LORD,
that He may be glorified.
Isaiah 61:11
11 For as the earth brings forth its bud,
As the garden causes the things
that are sown in it to spring forth,
So the Lord GOD
will cause righteousness
and praise to spring forth
before all the nations.
Jeremiah 1:9
9 Then the LORD put forth His hand
and touched my mouth,
and the LORD said to me:
Behold,
I have put My words
in your mouth.
CHAPTER 2
Adam and Eve
Genesis 2:7
7 And the LORD God formed
man of the dust of the ground,
and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life;
and man became a living being.
God formed man from the dust of the earth and after
breathing into his nostrils man became a living individual.
The Creator gifted this new man, Adam, with title and
ownership over the earth. Earth became Adam’s prized
habitation from a generous God. It belonged entirely to
this newly fashioned man and Adam had
been purposely selected by God as the
planet’s caretaker.
Then after taking a rib from man, God
formed woman. This woman, named Eve,
was Adam’s intimate companion. Both
creatures were sinless, perfect and
complete in every way. These two created
humans were christened God’s beloved
child.
Genesis 2:21-22
21 And the LORD God caused a deep
sleep to fall on Adam,
and he slept;
and He took one of his ribs,
and closed up the flesh in its place.
22 Then the rib which the LORD
God had taken from man
He made into a woman,
and He brought her to the man.
Genesis 2:16-17
16 And the LORD God
commanded the man, saying
“Of every tree of the garden
you may freely eat;
17 but of the tree of the knowledge
of good and evil you shall not eat,
for in the day that you eat of it
you shall surely die.”
Genesis 3:4-5
4 Then the serpent said to the woman,
“You will not surely die.
5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it
your eyes will be opened,
and you will be like God,
knowing good and evil.”
Genesis 3:7
7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened,
and they knew that they were naked.
Proverbs 8:23
23 I have been established from everlasting,
From the beginning,
before there was ever an earth.
Romans 16:20
20 And the God of peace will crush satan
under your feet shortly.
The grace of our
Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
Amen.
CHAPTER 3
Paul the Apostle
Romans 7:24
24 O wretched man that I am!
Who will deliver me from this body of death?
Matthew 27:11
11 Now Jesus stood before the governor.
And the governor asked Him, saying,
“Are You the King of the Jews?”
Jesus said to him,
“It is as you say.”
John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world
that He gave His only begotten Son.
That whoever believes in Him
should not perish
but have everlasting life.
By the age of 30, Jesus had been prepared to shift from
an ordinary Jewish man into His preordained radical
ministry. Jesus announced that He was God in the flesh
coming to earth to liberate all humankind.
John 1:14
14 And the Word became flesh
and dwelt among us,
and we beheld His glory,
the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,
full of grace and truth.
1 John 5:7
7 For there are three that
bear witness in heaven:
the Father,
the Word,
and the Holy Spirit;
and these three are one.
Matthew 4:24
24 Then His fame went throughout all Syria:
and they brought to Him
all sick people who were afflicted
with various diseases and torments,
and those who were demon-possessed with devils,
epileptics and paralytics
and He healed them.
Mark 11:7
7 Then they brought
the colt to Jesus,
and threw their clothes on it,
and He sat on it.
Philippians 2:9-11
9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him
and given Him the name
which is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus
every knee should bow,
of those in heaven and of those on earth,
and of those under the earth,
11 and that every tongue should confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
Matthew 16:24
24 Then Jesus said to His disciples,
“If any desires to come after Me,
let him deny himself,
and take up his cross and follow Me.”
1 Corinthians 15:57
15 But thanks be to God,
who gives us the victory
through our Lord Jesus Christ.
CHAPTER 4
Just Like Paul
Psalm 25:8
8 Good and upright is the LORD;
Therefore He teaches sinners in the way.
2 Timothy 4:7
7 I have fought the good fight,
I have finished the race,
and I have kept the faith.
1 John 1:9
9 If we confess our sins,
He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
John 10:10
10 The thief does not come except to steal,
and to kill,
and to destroy.
I have come that they may have life,
and that they may have it more abundantly.
Zephaniah 3:20
20 At that time I will bring you back,
Even at the time I gather you;
For I will give you fame and praise
Among all the peoples of the earth,
When I return your captives
before your eyes,”
Says the LORD.
Hebrews 13:3
3 Remember the prisoners as if chained with them—
those who are mistreated
CHAPTER 5
The Beginning
Jeremiah 20:14
14 Cursed be the day in which I was born!
Let the day not be blessed
in which my mother bore me!
Ezekiel 16:3-5
3 Your birth and your nativity are
from the land of Canaan;
your father was an Amorite
and your mother a Hittite.
4 As for your nativity,
on the day you were born
your navel cord was not cut,
nor were you washed in water to cleanse you;
you were not rubbed with salt
nor wrapped in swaddling cloths.
5 No eye pitied you,
to do any of these things for you,
to have compassion on you;
but you were thrown out into the open field,
when you yourself were loathed
on the day you were born.
Isaiah 14:11-15
11 Your pomp is brought down to Sheol,
And the sound of your stringed instruments;
The maggot is spread under you,
12 How you are fallen from heaven,
O Lucifer, son of the morning!
How you are cut down to the ground,
You who weakened the nations!
13 For you have said in your heart
I will ascend into heaven,
I will exalt my throne
above the stars of God;
I will also sit on the mount
of the congregation
On the farthest sides of the north;
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
I will be like the Most High.
15 Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol,
To the lowest depths of the Pit.
Luke 10:18
18 And He said to them,
“I saw satan fall like
lightning from heaven”.
Luke 15:7
7 I say to you that likewise
there will be more joy in heaven
over one sinner who repents
than over ninety-nine just
persons who need no repentance.
Ephesians 1:4-6
4 just as He chose us in Him
before the foundation of the world,
that we should be holy
and without blame before Him in love,
5 having predestined us
to adoption as sons
by Jesus Christ to Himself,
according to the
good pleasure of His will,
6 to the praise of the glory of His grace,
by which He made us accepted
in the Beloved.
Nehemiah 9:31
31 Nevertheless in Your great mercy
You did not utterly consume them nor forsake them
John 14:18
18 I will not leave you orphans;
I will come to you.
Hebrews 13:5
5 For He Himself has said,
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
CHAPTER 6
The Aliens
Joel 3:17
17 So you shall know that I am the LORD your God,
Dwelling in Zion My holy mountain.
Then Jerusalem shall be holy,
And no aliens shall ever pass through her again.
Psalm 22:21
21 Save Me from the lion‟s mouth
You have answered Me.
1 Peter 5:8
8 Be sober, be vigilant:
Because your adversary the devil
walks about like a roaring lion,
seeking whom he may devour.
My second frightening dream takes me to an
unrecognizable place where I was frantically running
down the middle of a deserted paved street. Even though
residential homes were sitting on both sides of the road,
there was no one around that I could turn to for help.
Three oversized black dogs, with their coarse fur
standing on end, were chasing me. Growling, their lips
were curled up away from their gums, exposing their
sharp teeth. These enraged dogs were eager to snatch
me up in their fierce jaws. Once the dogs caught me,
their intentions were to tear me from limb to limb. I woke
up, my heart pounding and in tears.
Psalm 22:20
20 Deliver Me from the sword,
My precious life
from the power of the dog.
Isaiah 56:11
11 Yes, they are greedy dogs
which never have enough.
Genesis 37:20
20 Come therefore,
let us now kill him
and cast him into some pit;
and we shall say,
Some wild beast has devoured him.
CHAPTER 7
The Little Girl
Mark 5:41
41 Then He took the child by the hand,
and said to her,
“Talitha, cumi,”
which is translated,
“Little girl,
I say to you, arise.”
Acts 16:31
31 So they said,
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ,
and you will be saved,
you and your household.”
Proverbs 3:33
33 The curse of the LORD is on the
house of the wicked.
Proverbs 7:27
27 Her house is the way to hell
Descending to the chambers of death.
Proverbs 1:16
16 For their feet run to evil
And they make haste to shed blood.
Psalm 91:4
4 He shall cover you with His feathers
And under His wings
you shall take refuge;
1 Samuel 15:23
23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft,
And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
Isaiah 11:6
6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb,
The leopard shall lie down with the young goat,
The calf and the young lion
and the fatling together;
And a little child shall lead them
Mark 5:9
9 Then He asked him,
“What is your name?”
And he answered, saying,
“My name is Legion;
for we are many.”
Isaiah 41:11-13
11 Behold, all those who were incensed against you
Shall be ashamed and disgraced;
They shall be as nothing,
And those who strive with you shall perish.
12 You shall seek them and not find them—
Those who contended with you.
Those who war against you shall be as nothing,
As a nonexistent thing.
13 For I, the LORD your God,
will hold your right hand,
Saying to you,
“Fear not, I will help you”.
During each ritual, the room of abuse became so
flooded with demons that the atmosphere felt stifling.
Pure evil would expand and build up with such intensity
that the worshipers would lose all control of their own
inhibitions.
Their foul activities would defy all ethical values
followed by the average human. The room overflowed
with an out-and-out frenzy of bizarre and unruly
behavior. The most depraved sins saturated this
basement. Evil mushroomed out from each willing
participant as the lowest mode of deviant behavior was
being perpetrated. Any moral person could not even
conceive the depraved wrongdoings taking place and I
was forced to participate.
The adult’s wild conduct became so exaggerated and
amplified that soon all moral standards were tossed aside.
Perverted sexual practices would increase as all types of
sexual sins were practiced; adults with adults, adults with
children, even adults and children with animals. Those in
attendance would even carry out sexual exploits with
assigned demons.
Revelation 21:8
8 But the cowardly,
unbelieving, abominable,
murderers, sexually immoral,
sorcerers, idolaters,
and all liars shall have their part in the lake
which burns with fire and brimstone,
which is the second death.
Leviticus 21:5
5 nor make any cuttings in their flesh.
Matthew 14:14
14 And when Jesus went out
He saw a great multitude;
and He was moved with compassion for them,
and healed their sick.
2 Corinthians 4:7-10
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels,
that the excellence of the power
may be of God and not of us.
8 We are hard-pressed on every side,
yet not crushed;
we are perplexed,
but not in despair;
9 persecuted,
but not forsaken;
struck down,
but not destroyed-
10 always carrying about in the body
the dying of the Lord Jesus,
that the life of Jesus also may be
manifested in our body.
Romans 8:28
28 And we know that all things work together
for good to those who love God,
To those who are the called
according to His purpose.
CHAPTER 9
The Hostage
Exodus 20:13
13 You shall not murder.
Proverbs 6:16-18
16 These six things the LORD hates,
Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
17 A proud look,
a lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that devises
wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil.
Psalm 106:36-38
36 They served their idols,
Which became a
snare to them.
37 They even sacrificed their
sons and their daughters
to demons
38 And shed innocent blood,
The blood of their sons and daughters.
Exodus 15:26
26 I am the Lord who heals you.
Jeremiah 33:6
6 Behold, I will bring it health and healing;
I will heal them
and reveal to them
the abundance of peace and truth.
CHAPTER 10
The Pact
Revelation 20:15
15 And anyone not found
written in the Book of Life
was cast into the lake of fire.
Exodus 33:19
19 I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious,
and I will have compassion on whom
I will have compassion.
2 Corinthians 11:14
14 And no wonder,
for satan transforms himself
into an angel of light.
Deception and lies were all that came out from
satan’s mouth. Besides, he was not willing to share his
counterfeit powers, especially not with me. All his
promises turned out to be untruths, spoken only to
ensnare me in his eternal web of destruction and taking
me captive. The devil's ultimate strategy was to
manipulate me into bringing others into his kingdom,
then kill me and take me to hell for all eternity. In that
depraved place, I would be tormented day and night.
John 8:44
44 You are of your father the devil,
and the desires of your father you want to do.
He was a murderer from the beginning,
and does not stand in the truth,
because there is no truth in him.
When he speaks a lie,
he speaks from his own resources,
for he is a liar and the father of it.
Revelation 2:17
17 He who has an ear,
let him hear what the Spirit
says to the churches.
To him who overcomes
I will give some of the hidden manna to eat.
And I will give him a white stone,
and on the stone a new name written
which no one knows except him who receives it.
CHAPTER 11
The Funeral Plans
Job 16:16
16 My face is flushed from weeping,
And on my eyelids is the shadow of death;
1 John 3:2
2 Beloved, now we are children of God;
and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be,
but we know that when He is revealed,
we shall be like Him,
for we shall see Him as He is.
Proverbs 16:18
18 Pride goes before destruction,
And a haughty spirit before a fall.
2 Thessalonians 2:10
10 And with all unrighteous deception
Among those who perish,
because they did not receive
the love of the truth,
that they might be saved.
Isaiah 8:19
19 And when they say to you,
“Seek those who are mediums
and wizards who whisper and mutter,”
should not a people seek their God?
Should they seek the dead
on behalf of the living?
An ability that would appeal to me many years into
my adulthood was reading minds. I knew what others
were thinking, even though opposite words were being
verbalized. Reading minds gave me a sense of security,
but later on, this would even prove to become a false
refuge of protection. I assumed that as long as I could
decipher people’s thoughts, I could also figure out if they
had plans to take advantage of me. Being free from the
manipulation and wily schemes of others was always on
the forefront of my mind. My attitude came down to “get
them before they get me”.
Another occult sin that I tried was water witching.
During the summer months, as a child, I would play
around the trees in the park. Finding sticks lying on the
ground, I would pick up a branch with a two-pronged end
and pretend to water witch. I did not understand the
spiritual significance behind this act and deemed the
activity as one of my childhood explorations.
A few years back, though, I traveled with a friend to
his desolate property. As I Christian, I knew water
witching was a sin. Still, I made an attempt to use a
dowsing rod because we were searching for an
underground water supply. As a believer, I was making a
bad choice. Again, I willfully sinned which permitted
demons to oppress me. Any intentional transgression
that a true born-again Christian commits and knowing
that it goes against the commands of God will permit
demons to oppress the person.
Galatians 5:1
1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty
by which Christ has
made us free,
and do not be entangled again
with a yoke of bondage.
Take heed, do not sin! Do not be deceived! Anything
that involves the occult, devil worship or any involvement
with the demonic world, including any type of sin, needs
to be set aside. God commands us, issuing stern
warnings, not to be involved in the occult. God considers
all of these undertakings an abomination and commands
us not to touch the unclean thing. Going against the
commands of God is spiritually dangerous. The devil loves
to trick and lure Christians into bondage.
2 Corinthians 6:17
17 Come out from among them
And be separate,
says the Lord.
Do not touch what is unclean,
And I will receive you.
Hosea 6:1
1 Come,
and let us return to the LORD;
For He has torn, but He will heal us;
He has stricken,
but He will bind us up.
CHAPTER 12
Innocence Stolen
Genesis 34:2
2 And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite,
prince of the country,
saw her,
he took her and lay with her,
and violated her.
Ruth 2:20
20 “Blessed be he of the LORD,
who has not forsaken His kindness
to the living and the dead!”
Isaiah 54:4
4 Do not fear,
for you will not be ashamed;
Neither be disgraced,
for you will not be put to shame;
For you will forget the shame of your youth.
CHAPTER 13
Becoming The Bride of Satan
Jeremiah 3:14
14 “Return, O backsliding children,”
says the LORD;
“for I am married to you.
I will take you,
one from a city
and two from a family,
and I will bring you to Zion”.
Ephesians 4:30
30 And do not grieve the
Holy Spirit of God,
by whom you were sealed
for the day of redemption.
Corinthians 6:16
16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a
harlot is one body with her?
For “the two,”
He says, “shall become one flesh.”
This long distressful night finally ended. Filled with
more evil beings would bring even greater despondency
and misery into my demonic dominated
life. It was soon after this ceremony that
my family moved to a different state. I
was free from this group, never having to
be involved with them again. Then again, I
was not free from the demons that were
lurking within me.
Dear Jesus,
I ask you to be my Lord and Savior. I want my life to
be pleasing to you. Liberate me from all my sins and from
all the bondages that satan has placed on my life. I thank
you that You are now setting me free. Amen.
Prayer of Renouncement
I renounce ever signing my name over to satan or
having my name signed over to satan.
I announce that my name is written in the Lamb's
Book of Life.
Psalm 38:4
4 For my iniquities have gone over my head;
Like a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
Matthew 11:28
28 Come to Me,
all you who labor
and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.
Proverbs 11:28
28 He who trusts in riches will fall.
Proverbs 12:25
25 Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression
John 3:3
3 Jesus answered and said to him,
“Most assuredly, I say to you,
unless one is born again,
he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Psalm 86:7
7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon You,
For You will answer me.
Proverbs 16:9
9 A man‟s heart plans his way,
But the LORD directs his steps.
Revelation 3:17
17 Because you say,
“I am rich,
have become wealthy,
and have need of nothing”
and do not know that you are
wretched, miserable, poor, blind,
and naked—
Isaiah 52:7
7 How beautiful upon the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who proclaims peace,
Who brings glad tidings of good things,
Who proclaims salvation,
One Friday afternoon, Sarah invited me to attend her
church. That coming Sunday morning, after meeting her
in the foyer, we sat down together on a wooden pew. The
song service got underway and I was pleasantly surprised
with all that I was viewing.
Clapping and raising their hands, the congregation
was shouting out praises to God. I had
no idea that church services like this
existed. The churches that I had attended
previously were solemn. Displaying
emotions during service was prohibited
and even frowned upon.
Psalm 35:18
18 I will give You thanks
in the great assembly;
I will praise You among many people.
Job 30:28
28 I go about mourning,
but not in the sun;
I stand up in the assembly
and cry out for help.
Proverbs 5:14
14 I was on the verge of total ruin,
In the midst of the assembly and congregation.
Psalm 40:2
2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit,
Out of the miry clay,
And set my feet upon a rock,
And established my steps.
Psalm 61:5
5 For you, O God,
have heard my vows;
You have given me the heritage
of those who fear Your name.
Romans 8:15
15 For you did not receive
the spirit of bondage again to fear,
but you received the
Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out,
“Abba, Father.”
Ezekiel 36:26
26 I will give you a new heart
and put a new spirit within you;
I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh
and give you a heart of flesh.
CHAPTER 15
Something Beautiful
Ezekiel 16:7
7 I made you thrive like a plant in the field;
and you grew,
matured,
and became very beautiful.
Isaiah 61:3
3 To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the LORD,
that He may be glorified.
One sweltering summer day, Sarah informed me that
she, along with her husband and children, were going on
a much-needed vacation and asked me to house sit. After
all she had done for me, I considered it a privilege to
watch over their home. Sarah departed and after staying
in her home for a couple days, the phone rang late one
night. I had just retired to bed. As I glanced at the clock
sitting on top of the side table, it read midnight.
The person on the other end of the phone was Julie, a
woman from my church. Her voice signaled distress. She
sounded as though she was at her wits end and begged
me to come over. I calmly assured her that I would be
right there.
After dressing, I headed to her house, which was
about a twenty-minute drive. While driving, my body was
overtaken with a gripping fear, which brought on second
thoughts about going to visit Julie. I asked Jesus to give
me a flat tire if He did not need me to go to her home.
Within 20 minutes, I pulled up to Julie’s house, no flat.
After walking into Julie’s living room, with tears
welling up in her eyes, she gave me the details of how
her husband had packed up and left and was headed to
another state.
The atmosphere in her home felt stuffy and
oppressive. The air, which suspended like a thick, heavy
cloud, seemed as though it could be sliced with a sharp
knife. Breathing was difficult, as each mouthful of air
became a strenuous gasp.
Unexpectedly, invisible hands wrapped themselves
around my throat and started chocking me. At that
moment, I realized demons were
assaulting me. You would assume
that since I had been familiar with
the demonic, I would not be
frightened. However, I was taken
aback by this foul manifestation.
I was very eager to leave, telling Julie we had to get
out of her house right away. As I was walking towards
the front door, fear seized my body for the second time
that evening. This clenching fear paralyzed me. It felt as
though heavy weights had been tied around my ankles. I
could barely move. Eventually, I was able to free myself
and reach the parking lot. Once I unlocked the car doors,
we jumped in and drove away as quickly as possible.
After arriving back at Sarah’s house, I made a pot of
coffee. Julie remained there for a couple of hours and
then insisted that I take her back home. While driving
back to her house, the sun was coming into view, a new
day was on the horizon and I felt at peace.
When my friend Sarah returned from her family
vacation, I recounted every moment of my adventures at
Julie’s house. Sarah disclosed that Julie’s mom was a
practicing witch and due to her mom’s involvement in the
occult, Julie had acquired a magnitude of personality
problems.
I did not understand exactly what Sarah meant by
Julie’s problems. I had not received enough of my own
deliverance to be able to recognize what demons do to a
person’s personality. Also, I was still very blinded by my
own oppression. I had no idea at that time I was plagued
with my own personality problems. Now that I am free, I
can reflect back and understand what Sarah was trying to
explain to me.
A youth night had been scheduled at my church one
Wednesday evening. Even though I was not a youth, I
was invited to join them during their fellowship time.
After reading the Bible, the youth leader asked if anyone
would like prayer. A young boy, Peter, raised his hand. He
wanted prayer for his leg.
Peter shared with the other young people the details
about an accident that had taken place during his
boyhood years. While riding his bicycle he had been hit,
unintentionally, by a car. An ambulance transferred him
to the local hospital and eventually, because of the
mishap, his right leg was permanently damaged, leaving
it a few inches shorter than his left.
The youth leader instructed Peter to sit in a collapsible
metal chair. After Peter placed his right foot in the
pastor’s hand, the young people formed a tight circle
around Peter. The pastor started to pray.
For a brief moment, I had my eyes closed along with
the other teens and actually thought that it was a sin to
peek! Since I was very curious to see what was occurring,
I opened them. Coincidentally, as my eyes opened,
Peter’s right leg started to grow out until it became the
same length as his opposite left leg. Never witnessing
such a wondrous miracle, my chin dropped, leaving my
mouth gapping wide open and my eyes appearing to be
as big as saucers.
The overpowering presence of God was being poured
out on this room that evening. Out of my desire to share
all the excitement with my friend Sarah, I rushed to the
main auditorium where she was sitting and motioned for
her to come to me. She kept shaking her head no, but I
was persistent. Finally leaving her seat, she reluctantly
followed me to the back of the building. Still feeling
unenthusiastic, Sarah walked through the door into the
youth room.
Once she stepped her foot into the room, Bam! The
Holy Spirit came over her. Sarah was lying flat on her
back speaking in tongues. Up until this God ordained
evening, my friend had not received the baptism of the
Holy Spirit. This was the first time I had ever experienced
the manifestation of the Holy Spirit. After that God
ordained evening, I was never the same.
One Sunday after a morning service, I went forward to
pray at the wooden altar. Being a new Christian, I had no
idea what a vision was, but I was about to encounter my
first one. I was quietly kneeling with my eyes closed.
Oblivious to everyone else around me, I felt myself
gradually descending. The lower I went, the darker it
became. The darker it grew to be, the colder it felt.
Bone-chilling cold would be the best description that I can
give. In a matter of moments, I was consumed and
submerged in blackness. While standing on solid ground,
I could hear human voices wailing in torment and anguish
throughout this far-reaching area. However, due to the
overall darkness, I was unable to see the people
formulating the noise. The echoing sounds of wailing
grated on my flesh, giving it crawling sensations. In this
bleak, isolated region, an
all-embracing hopelessness
and despair pervaded every
inch of my body. After a few
seconds, which was more
than enough time to be in
this harsh grave-like place, I
started slowly ascending. In
moments, I felt myself back
on my knees, hearing the voices of the church members.
Later that day, after mediating on this vision, I realized
that I had paid a visit to hell.

11 Hell and Destruction are before the Lord;
So how much more the hearts
of the sons of men.
Matthew 7:7-8
7 Ask and it will be given to you;
seek and you will find;
knock, it will be opened to you.
8 For everyone who asks receives;
and he who seeks finds,
and to him who knocks,
it will be opened.
1 Corinthians 12:4-11
4 There are diversities of gifts,
but the same Spirit.
5 There are differences of ministries,
but the same Lord.
6 And there are diversities of activities,
but it is the same God who works all in all.
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one
for the profit of all:
8 for to one is given the word of
wisdom through the Spirit,
to another the word of knowledge
through the same Spirit,
9 to another faith by the same Spirit,
to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
10 to another the working of miracles,
to another prophecy,
to another discerning of spirits,
to another different kinds of tongues,
to another the interpretation of tongues.
11 But one and the same Spirit
works all these things,
distributing to each
one individually as He wills.
Ephesians 5:26
26 that He might sanctify
and cleanse her with the
washing of water by the word
Psalm 69:2
2 I sink in deep mire,
Where there is no standing;
I have come into deep waters,
Where the floods overflow me.
One afternoon, Jeff came over to my house for prayer.
During this prayer a demon manifested within me.
Stunned, I had no idea I was demon oppressed. Since the
church that Jeff previously attended cast out demons, he
had the knowledge in how to expel it.
Sitting on my kitchen chair in the living room, Jeff
started to bind the demon in the name of Jesus. Within
seconds, this demon picked me up off the chair and threw
me down on the carpet. While lying on my stomach, I felt
this expelled demon crawling out of the top of my head.
As this evil one was leaving, it was screaming out from
my mouth, “she is mine, she belongs to me”.
Before the demon was kicked out, it revealed itself as
an influential demon over a well-known religious cult,
which happened to be one of my parent’s religions. After
that demon left, I repented and asked forgiveness for my
involvement in this cult. Then Jeff commanded any other
demons linked with this certain spirit to leave my body. I
was free in Jesus name.
It was not until the following morning that I could
verify that I had received deliverance. When I woke up
that morning, I opened my eyes and as I glanced around
my bedroom, I could see clearly. My sight was not blurry
as it was the day before. Everything in my eye’s view
looked crisp through my renewed eyesight.
This is the illustration that I use to describe my
demonic blindness. It is as if you were looking through a
black painted window at a beautiful landscape. There is
no way that you can see the scenery clearly. This is what
it was like for me to be blinded by the demons within this
cult religion.
Before my deliverance, I could not understand that
what I had been taught in this religious cult was from
satan. Even after my born born-again transformation, I
was still blind and believed that these teachings contained
the truth from God. But, after this deliverance, I
immediately recognized that this religion originated from
satan.
For this reason, when we are speaking with people
that are in a cult or involved in the occult, we should not
argue with them. Arguing will only allow the demons to
convince them further that they are right and we, as true
followers of Jesus, are wrong.
Anyway, it is not about being right, but about their
need to know Jesus. It is not about our beliefs from our
particular denomination, but it is all about Jesus and how
He died on the cross so that all could be saved. We have
to allow Jesus to break the yoke of bondage, so non-
believers can give their hearts to Jesus and be free.
I remember, before coming to Jesus, that someone
was sternly telling me that what I believed was wrong. I
was angry because I thought what I had been taught in
this religion was right, but I could not see the Truth.
Since I felt they were condemning me, I wanted nothing
to do with their beliefs. Their angry and belittling words
drove me away from Jesus.
Non-believers are bound by a demon of deafness and
blindness. These demons will not allow their captives to
see or hear the Truth. These individuals cannot perceive
that they are deceived. It is as though a black scarf has
been tied over their eyes and plugs inserted in their ears.
They cannot see or hear unless Jesus breaks their
bondages.
Therefore, we need to show these constrained
individuals the Love of Jesus and allow Him to break the
chains of satan. We should pray and bind the demons so
they can be liberated to see the Truth, to see Jesus.
Psalm 146:8
8 The LORD opens the eyes of the blind
The LORD raises those
who are bowed down;
the LORD loves the righteous.
God had set me free from this religious cult and I felt
ecstatic. The next Sunday morning, before service, I
spread the good news, telling all how Jesus set me free
from this cult demon. I assumed that since I received
deliverance, all Christians knew about casting out
demons. To my dismay, the pastor did not believe in
casting demons out of Christians, telling me to be quiet.
Since I was unable to keep my mouth shut, the pastor
demanded that I leave and not return. I felt as though I
had been betrayed by those that I admired and looked up
to. Not one person from that church wanted to associate
with me anymore. Not even my friend Jeff.

Who the SON Sets Free

Leviticus 19:34
34 The stranger who dwells among you
shall be to you as one born among you,
and you shall love him as yourself;
for you were strangers in the land of Egypt:
I am the LORD your God.
The ministers standing at the front of the church
noticed the demonic demonstration and came running.
One minister informed me later that evening how he
actually hurdled over a pew to get quickly to my side.
Another lady disclosed that when I opened my eyes, they
were glowing red.
As I came out of unconscious, I found myself pinned
up against a wall by these ministers. The ministers spent
the next two hours praying and casting out demons.
While they were commanding these
wicked beings to leave, I could feel the
demons scurrying up and down my body,
searching for a place to hide. They were
panicking. Because Jesus exposed these
evil spirits, they had no choice, but to
leave.
Deuteronomy 7:8

Psalm 34:13
13 Keep your tongue from evil,
And your lips from speaking deceit.
One Sunday night before an evening service, I parked
my car along the street opposite the little country church.
Sitting on top of this church’s roof was an emaciated,
disfigured looking demon. With an offensive and coercing
laugh, he pointed at me and said, “I am going to get rid
of you”. I had no reason to believe I was such a threat,
but that was because I did not have the revelation of who
I was in Jesus.
Demons are very aware of our Christ-like authority,
even when we do not recognize it. They are terrified that
we will discover the confidence and power we possess to
infiltrate and destroy their territory in the name of Jesus.
Within a month of that encounter, I moved to a larger
city.
Luke 10:19
19 “Behold, I give you the authority
to trample on serpents
and scorpions and over all the

and nothing shall by any means

CHAPTER 18
Trials
James 1:2-3
2 My brethren,
count it all joy when you fall
into various trials,
3 knowing that the testing of your
faith produces patience.
Isaiah 54:5
5 For the maker is your husband
The LORD of hosts is His name;
And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel;
He is called the God of the whole earth.
Leviticus 18:24-27
24 Do not defile yourselves
with any of these things;
for by all these the nations are defiled,
which I am casting out before you.
25 For the land is defiled;
therefore I visit the punishment
of its iniquity upon it,
and the land vomits out its inhabitants.
26 You shall therefore keep My statutes
and My judgments,
and shall not commit any of these abominations,
either any of your own nation
or any stranger who dwells among you
27 (for all these abominations the men
of the land have done,
who were before you,
and thus the land is defiled).
Once the demons showed themselves openly, I took
authority by anointing the inside of the house and outside
along the property line. Keeping the demonic activity
away from this home became a frustrating task. The
demons were not willing to give up their dwelling place so
easily and were always looking for a way to sneak back.
Each evening before bed, I would play anointed
worship music. The songs would drift melodiously
throughout the home while we were all sleeping. My
children, to this day, still testify how they could feel the
transformation in the atmosphere when the worship
music was on. Through it all, God was always present,
blessing and protecting us.
Psalm 12:5
5 For the oppression of the poor,
for the sighing of the needy,
Now I will arise, says the LORD;
I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.
Psalm 69:20
20 Reproach has broken my heart,
And I am full of heaviness;
I looked for someone to take pity,
but there was none;
And for comforters,
but I found none.
Thoughts of contacting the state police to report the
past ritual abuse kept coming to my mind, but I was too
embarrassed to divulge what had taken place in my
childhood. I considered the idea that no one would
believe my statements, so why bother calling.
Not being able to shake off this impression to call the
officials, I placed a prayer fleece before God. I asked God
to have my friend, Lou, call me as a confirmation to this
prayer. Lou had been a police officer for many years and I
assumed that he would understand my dilemma.
However, I had not heard from him in over five years.
Within ten minutes of that prayer the phone rang. It was
Lou.
Giving Lou a brief version of my past, I told him that I
thought it was crucial to report the abuse. Lou
discouraged me from calling, stating the police would not
believe me. We spoke a little longer and then said our
goodbyes. I have not heard from Lou since that call. I
had prayed for a sign and after receiving the call from
Lou, I knew God had confirmed that I was to speak up.
I was feeling a little nervous, but after taking a deep
breath, I dialed the number to the state police office that
handled satanic worship and ritual abuse. I spoke to a
man who was supportive of all that I was sharing about
my past. He affirmed my story, persuading me to call the
two towns where the childhood abuse occurred. I thanked
him for the encouragement and ended the call.
Next, I telephoned the police department in the town
where the baby girl had been murdered. My call was
transferred to a woman officer. She was not interested in
my story and the conversation abruptly ended on that
note. The second number I dialed was the town where
the teenage girl had been hung from a tree. I received
the same negative response.
It had taken so much courage to speak out, exposing
my abusive past. Before the calls, I felt rather vulnerable,
but after making those two calls, I felt crushed and
dejected, vowing never to speak of my experiences with
another human being.

All have come to pass for you;
not one word of them has failed.
Deuteronomy 15:10
10 You shall surely give to him,
and your heart should not be grieved
when you give to him,
because for this thing
the LORD your God will bless you
in all your works

CHAPTER 20
My Dreams
Joel 2:28
28 And it shall come to pass afterward
That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your old men shall dream dreams,
Your young men shall see visions.
Psalm 23:4
4 Yea, though I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff,
they comfort me.
My next dream was one I really enjoyed. In this
dream, I was standing behind a massive white wall. The
partition seemed to be at least 25 feet high. As I peeked
around the corner, I saw a gigantic room full of neatly
wrapped presents. As far as my eye could see, there were
an uncountable number of gifts stacked everywhere.
What is so unique about these gifts is that all the
presents were wrapped with the exact same colorful
paper and each one was adorned with
the exact same silky bow. The only
notable difference was the size of the
box and its contents. I quickly became
aware that a distinctive and unique
treasure had been placed inside each
gift.
After waking up, I asked Jesus to give me the
interruption of the above dream. He explained to me that
all these numerous gifts represent the bountiful amount
of people that He has brought and will be bringing into
my life. Each person is so special in His sight, that He
considers him or her to be an exceptional treasure and a
unique gift to this world. He reminded me that I was to
appreciate and cherish each person because they are very
valuable to Him.
Proverbs 17:8
8 A present is a precious stone
in the eyes of its possessor;
Wherever he turns,
he prospers.
James 1:17
17 Every good gift and every
perfect gift is from above,
and comes down from the
Father of lights,
with whom there is no
variation or shadow of turning.
One night while dreaming, I saw Jesus sitting on His
throne. As I sat solemnly at His feet, I touched the top of
His left foot. It had the appearance of pure gold, but was
soft, like flesh. I also touched the hem of His pure white
garment which felt like a soft woven fabric. An aroma of
incense permeating from His robe saturated my sense of
smell. When I woke up, I remembered this verse from the
Bible –
Luke 24:39
39 Behold My hands and My feet,
that it is I Myself.
Handle Me and see,
for a spirit does not have flesh and bones
as you see I have.
Mark 6:56
56 Wherever He entered,
into villages, cities, or the country,
they laid the sick in the marketplaces,
and begged Him that they might just
touch the hem of His garment.
And as many as touched Him were made well.
Matthew 9:20-22
20 And suddenly,
a woman who had a flow of blood
for twelve years came from behind
and touched the hem of His garment.
21 For she said to herself,
“If only I may touch His garment,
I shall be made well.”
22 But Jesus turned around,
and when He saw her He said,
“Be of good cheer, daughter;
your faith has made you well.”
And the woman
was made well from that hour.
My Dream of Heaven: I was in a location that
appeared to be a tropical forest (Paradise or Heaven).
Looking around, I started weeping, declaring repeatedly
how beautiful it is. The colors are very brilliant and crystal
clear in Heaven. Earth's colors are muted and blurry
compared to the colors that I saw in this realm. I now
realize that we really do see behind an obscured veil here
on earth.
Stretched out before me was a pool filled with
translucent, sparkling water. Behind that gleaming pool
stood many buildings, but I have no idea what purpose
those structures served. Walking up to one of the
buildings, I reached out and touched the material from
which it was constructed. It felt smooth, velvety soft, yet
pliable, like putty. The substance is not found here on
earth.
The shimmering water in the pool was beckoning for
me to step in. The water reminded me of how it feels to
be washed by the Word of God, spotless and pure. The
most humorist part to the dream is when I looked down
at my body. I was wearing a swimming suit and I had my
girlish figure back. Now, I know this place had to be
heaven for that to become a reality!
The next part of this dream takes me to an area where
I was standing in front of a gigantic hot tub. This water
was extremely dirty and stinky. Inside the tub were
people falling in on their faces, drowning. These
individuals were unable to stop themselves. I knelt down
trying to pull a person out, but I did not have the
strength. I jumped into the hot tub and started pushing
people out of the filthy water onto the solid surface
above. This was the only way that I could actually help
them.
When I woke up Jesus showed me that the hot tub
represents the world and people are helplessly drowning
in the stench of sin. Jesus told me that at times we have
to jump into the muck and mire of people’s lives to see
them set free. We have to get right in the middle of their
messy and stinky situation to bring them to safety, to
Jesus.
Hebrews 2:15
15 and release those who through fear of death
were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Psalm 115:16
16 The heaven,
even the heavens,
are the LORD‟s;
But the earth He has given

1 Corinthians 13:11
11 When I was a child I spoke as a child,
I understood as a child I thought as a child;
but when I became a man,
I put away childish things.

20 Brethren,
do not be children in understanding;
however, in malice be babes,
but in understanding be mature.
CHAPTER 21
My New Church Home
Matthew 16:18
18 And I also say to you
that you are Peter,
and on this Rock (Jesus)
I will build My church,
and the gates of Hades
shall not prevail against it.
Zechariah 13:9
9 I will bring the one-third through the fire,
Will refine them as silver is refined,
And test them as gold is tested,
They will call on My name,
and I will answer them.
I will say, “This is My peoples”.
And each one will say,
“The LORD is my God.”
For 60 days, I laid on my couch, flat on my back.
Because I knew healing would come from listening to the
Word of God, Christian TV was on 24 hours a day.
It would only be a matter of time before I experienced
how powerful these Words from God really are.
Proverbs 4:4
4 He also taught me,
and said to me:
Let your heart retain my words;
Keep my commands,
and live.
Isaiah 58:6-8
6 Is this not the fast that I have chosen:
To loose the bonds of wickedness,
To undo the heavy burdens,
To let the oppressed go free,
And that you break every yoke?
7 Is it not to share your bread
with the hungry,
And that you bring to your house
the poor who are cast out;
When you see the naked,
that you cover him,
And not hide yourself from your own flesh?
8 Then your light shall break forth
like the morning,
Your healing shall spring forth speedily,
John 11:25
25 Jesus said to her,
“I am the resurrection and the life.
He who believes in Me,
though he may die,
he shall live.”
While my dad was alive here on earth he had his
teeth removed 10 years earlier. This is why it was such
an important detail for me to see him with his gleaming
new teeth. This dream, additionally, gave me the
assurance that my dad was alive with Jesus, forever. I
had prayed for my dad for 25 years to give his heart to
Jesus and I am grateful that I was allowed to see him
before he entered the Promise Land.
The phone rang about 7am. It was the nurse from the
hospital notifying me that dad had died earlier that
morning. I told her I already knew and shared my dream
with her.
A few months after this dream about my dad, God
showed me that I needed to be set free from a Jezebel
spirit. A Christian book store was located
up the street, so after walking up there, I
bought a book about this particular
demon. After the purchase, I sat down on
a bench outside the store and started to
read. I did not even get past the first few
words before I began to vomit. I was
embarrassed, but also knew that God was
setting me free.
Revelation 2:20
20 Nevertheless I have a few
things against you,
because you allow that woman Jezebel,
who calls herself a prophetess,
to teach and seduce My servants
to commit sexual immorality
and eat things sacrificed to idols.
Deuteronomy 28:15
15 But it shall come to pass,
if you do not obey the
voice of the LORD your God,
to observe carefully all His commandments
and His statutes which I command you today,
that all these curses will come upon you
and overtake you:
Jeremiah 42:13-16
13 “But if you say,
We will not dwell in this land,
disobeying the voice of the LORD your God,
14 saying, No,
but we will go to the land of Egypt
where we shall see no war,
nor hear the sound of the trumpet,
nor be hungry for bread,
and there we will dwell—
15 Then hear now the word of the LORD,
O remnant of Judah!
Thus says the LORD of hosts,
the God of Israel:
If you wholly set your faces to enter Egypt,
and go to dwell there,
16 then it shall be that the sword which you feared
shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt;
the famine of which you were afraid
shall follow close after you there in Egypt;
and there you shall die”.
Isaiah 59:19
19 When the enemy comes in like a flood,
The Spirit of the LORD will lift up a
standard against him.
Romans 10:17
17 Faith comes by hearing
and hearing by the word of God.
1 Peter 2:24
24 who Himself bore our sins in
His own body on the tree,
that we,
having died to sins,
might live for righteousness—
by whose stripes you were healed.
Isaiah 58:8
8 Then your light shall break forth
like the morning,
Your healing shall spring forth speedily,
And your righteousness shall go before you;
Jeremiah 17:14
14 Heal me, O LORD,
and I shall be healed;
Save me,
and I shall be saved,
For You are my praise.
Philippians 4:19
19 And my God
shall supply all your need according to
His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Woman, Thou Art Loosed
Proverbs 21:31
31 The horse is prepared for the day of battle,
But deliverance is of the LORD.
Isaiah 49:13
13 Sing, O heavens! Be joyful, O earth!
And break out in singing,
O mountains!
For the LORD has comforted His people,
And will have mercy on His afflicted.
Romans 8:39
39 nor height nor depth,
nor any other created thing,
shall be able to separate us
from the love of God
which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Revelation 20:14
14 Then Death and Hades were cast
into the lake of fire.
This is the second death.
Matthew 8:28-29
28 When He had come to the other side,
to the country of the Gergesenes,
there met Him two demon-possessed men,
coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce,
so that no one could pass that way.
29 And suddenly they cried out, saying,
“What have we to do with You,
Jesus, You Son of God?
Have You come here to torment us
before the time?”
Joel 2:32
32 And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls
on the name of the LORD
Shall be saved.
CHAPTER 23
Breaking The Yoke
Leviticus 26:13
13 I am the LORD your God,
who brought you out of the land of Egypt,
that you should not be their slaves;
I have broken the bands of your yoke
and made you walk upright.
Daniel 2:22
22 He reveals deep and secret things;
He knows what is in the darkness,
And light dwells with Him.
Mark 4:22
22 For there is nothing hidden
which will not be revealed,
nor has anything been kept secret
but that it should come to light
1 Corinthians 4:5
5 Therefore judge nothing before the time,
until the Lord comes,
who will both bring to light the
hidden things of darkness
and reveal the counsels of the hearts.
Once the coughing subsided, I revealed my secret that
I had been into satanism as a young girl. Feeling
ashamed, I explained to the women that satan had
become my best friend during those years of abuse. The
sting of betrayal, up to that very day was locked away
within my internal being.
The one sister, empathically speaking with words of
wisdom from the Holy Spirit, told me that God identified
with my inner anguish.
She continued her conversation by saying that God
had created satan to be the most beautiful angel in
heaven. When God created satan He loved him very much
and He was heartbroken by satan’s betrayal. Therefore,
God was able to understand my personal agony.
While hanging onto each insightful word, peace swept
over my tormented soul. Knowing that her words came
directly from the mouth of God brought healing to my
crushed and shattered heart.
At that very moment, I knew I had been delivered
from the twisted bondage of grief and woe that had
inflected me for 56 years. Instantly, the ache was gone.
All the anguish feelings within, brought on from satan’s
betrayal, had completely vanished. That demonic
influence was no longer adhered to me, tearing at my
tender heart; satan had lost his final hold.
After this deliverance, I was exhausted. I went home
that afternoon and slept for a long period of time. A deep
seeded belief had been pulled up by its roots and was
tossed back into the fiery hell from where it originated.
This lie would be consumed forever.
It was not until the next day I was aware of the
overall liberating affects. Like all the other times after
deliverance, I felt light as a feather.
After 56 years of being in bondage to satan’s lies of
devotion towards me, the chains were broken through the
power in the name of Jesus. I am forever free.
Psalm 119:45
45 And I will walk at liberty,
For I seek Your precepts.
Isaiah 14:3
3 It shall come to pass in the day the
LORD gives you rest from your sorrow,
and from your fear
and the hard bondage
in which you were made to serve,
CHAPTER 24
Spiritual Warfare
Psalm 144:1-3
3 Blessed be the LORD my Rock,
Who trains my hands for war,
And my fingers for battle—
Ephesians 6:10-13
10 Finally, my brethren,
be strong in the Lord
and in the power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God,
that you may be able to stand
against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood,
but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this age,
against spiritual hosts of wickedness
in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God,
that you may be able to withstand in the evil day,
and having done all, to stand.
One Friday morning upon waking, I had put on my
spiritual Armor and was relaxing at home. Sally, a
coworker, called that afternoon asking me to cover her
shift. Her mom, Alice, had been unexpectedly admitted
to the hospital. I arrived at my place of employment as
quickly as possible. Inquiring about her mother’s health,
Sally told me, with tears welling up in her eyes, that the
doctors did not expect her mom to live.
That evening, after my shift had ended, I drove
straight home. Alice was still weighing heavily on my
heart and while relaxing on the couch, the Lord prompted
me to pray for her. As I started to pray, I was spiritually
transported to Alice’s hospital room. I took note that Alice
was lying on her bed and to her left were standing
arrogant, hostile demons. A revelation from the Holy
Spirit gave me the knowledge that the demons had been
dispatched there to take Alice’s physical life.
Since I had already placed my Armor
on that morning, I was prepared to go
into battle, to wage war on Alice’s behalf.
Standing next to Alice, I first rested my
large shield over her ailing body. I seized
my sword, wielded it about and repeated
all scriptures that came to my mind. The
demons and I exchanged blows and I
wrestled against these discernible forces
from hell.
Within a few minutes, I called out to Jesus that I was
in need of more scripture verses. The only verse that
came to mind was “Jesus wept”. I shouted out that verse
repeatedly while swinging my sword, protesting against
the demons trying to take Alice’s life. I took a firm stance
in opposition against these evil spirits and within seconds,
they fled the room.
Psalm 118:17
17 I shall not die, but live,
And declare the works of the LORD.
A couple of days later, which was Sunday, Sally called
again, asking me if I could take her shift. Her mom’s
health was still failing. I knew that I had won the battle
against the demons of death assigned to Alice a few
evenings before. Therefore, my faith was not shaken by
my coworker’s devastating report. I had prevailed against
the forces of evil. I was victorious! Alice would live!
Sally called me that next day, which was Monday,
informing me that her mom had been discharged from
the hospital. Jesus, though that particular encounter with
the demonic, proved to me the importance of the Armor
of God and our need to apply it daily onto our bodies.
Proverbs 15:30
30 The light of the eyes rejoices the heart,
And a good report makes the bones healthy.
James 4:7
7 Therefore submit to God.
Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Luke 10:20
20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this,
that the spirits are subject to you,
but rather rejoice because
your names are written in heaven.
2 Corinthians 3:18
18 But we all,
with unveiled face,
beholding as in a mirror the glory
of the Lord,
are being transformed into
the same image
from glory to glory,
just as by the
Spirit of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
3 For though we walk in the flesh,
we do not war according to the flesh.
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal
but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
5 casting down arguments and every high thing
that exalts itself against the knowledge of God,
bringing every thought into captivity
to the obedience of Christ,
CHAPTER 25
End Time Visions
Habakkuk 2:3
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak,
and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry.
Isaiah 66:1
1 Thus says the LORD
Heaven is My throne,
And earth is My footstool
Revelation 1:16
16 He had in His right hand seven stars,
out of His mouth went a sharp
two-edged sword,
and His countenance was like the
sun shining in its strength.
Isaiah 54:17
17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which
rises against you in judgment
you shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the
servants of the LORD,
And their righteousness is from Me,
Says the LORD.
Psalm 149:6
6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
And a two-edged sword in their hand.
Isaiah 28:5
5 In that day the LORD of hosts
will be for a crown of glory
and a diadem of beauty
to the remnant of His people,
Deuteronomy 20:1
1 When you go out to battle against your enemies,
and see horses and chariots
and people more numerous than you,
do not be afraid of them;
for the LORD your God is with you,
who brought you up from the land of Egypt.
Ephesians 6:14-18
14 Stand therefore,
having girded your waist with truth,
having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and having shod your feet with
the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 above all,
taking the shield of faith with which
you will be able to quench all
the fiery darts of the wicked one.
17 And take the helmet of salvation,
and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God;
18 praying always with all prayer
and supplication in the Spirit,
being watchful to this end with all
perseverance and supplication
for all the saints—
BELT OF TRUTH
BELT The belt is the key piece of equipment for a
soldier because it holds the other clothing and equipment
in place. Clothing was tucked back out of the way to allow
freedom of movement. The belt holds valuables and
personal possessions and also holds the sword. Therefore,
there is a close connection between the
truth and God's Word (sword). The belt
represents honesty, truthfulness, integrity
and sincerity. Buckle it securely around
your waist.
Isaiah11:5
5 Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins,
And faithfulness the belt of His waist.
Psalm 119:43
43 And take not the word of truth
utterly out of my mouth,
For I have hoped in Your ordinances.
BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
BREASTPLATE This vital piece of equipment covers
the vulnerable organs of the upper body. This heavy piece
of armor completely encloses the body. Soldiers would
grasp each other's left forearms and with
their right start hitting each other in the
breastplate. The first one to make an
opening won. This means we should make
every effort to have personal and daily
righteousness that is maintained with
confession of all sins.
1 Thessalonians 5:8
8 But let us who are of the day be sober,
putting on the breastplate of faith and love,
and as a helmet the hope of salvation.
Job 29:14
14 I put on righteousness,
and it clothed me;
SANDALS OF PEACE
FEET The sandals of each soldier are a very important
necessity. They have to be sturdy, dependable and
tough. Soles impregnated with heavy, spike-like hobnails
give each soldier a good footing. Soldiers
were attacked on rough, rocky ground
where getting a strong footing would be
difficult. If the sandals failed to give him
firm stability, that resulted in defeat. Our
standing must be solid in Jesus.
2 Samuel 22:34
34 He makes my feet
like the feet of deer,
And sets me on my high places.
Ephesians 2:14
14 For He Himself is our peace,
who has made both one,
and has broken down
the middle wall of separation,
SHIELD OF FAITH
SHIELD This is another defensive weapon from God in
our arsenal. The shield measured 2 feet by 4
feet. Soldiers gathered behind a wall of shields, side-by-
side, and used it for an outer wall of protection. Each
soldier hid behind his shield, which was a
portable door. The shield served as a buffer
from the flaming darts of the enemy. Faith
extinguishes all the flaming missiles of the
evil one. We use this shield to guard
against the constant assaults by the enemy.
Isaiah 21:5
5 Prepare the table,
Set a watchman in the tower,
Eat and drink.
Arise, you princes,
Anoint the shield!
1 Peter 5:8
8 Be sober, be vigilant;
because your adversary the devil
walks about like a roaring lion,
seeking whom he may devour.
Habakkuk 2:4
4 But the just shall live by his faith.
FLAMING ARROWS Arrows tipped with burning pitch
would be hurled against soldiers and only
a shield could protect them from it.
Arrows of pride, temptation, fear, worry,
guilt, suffering, etc., come from satan
and only faith in God will get us through
those times.
Job 6:4
4 For the arrows of the Almighty
are within me;
HELMET OF SALVATION
HELMET The helmet was to protect soldier's heads
from the broad sword their enemies carried. This sword
was up to 4 feet long. The enemy held it with two hands
and brought it straight down with all his might on the
soldier's head. Thus, the helmet was very important.
This meaning of the helmet is assurance of salvation
and represents protection over the mind
against any onslaught from demons. When
we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we
are given this defensive piece of armor to
protect us. We have to battle with Jesus
alongside us here on the planet earth. We
can do so willingly, knowing that we will be
victorious.
Jeremiah 46:4
4 Harness the horses,
And mount up,
you horsemen!
Stand forth with your helmets,
Polish the spears,
Put on the armor!
Romans 12:1-2
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren,
by the mercies of God,
that you present your bodies a living sacrifice,
holy,
acceptable to God,
which is your reasonable service.
2 And do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that you may prove what is that good
and acceptable and perfect will of God.
1 Corinthians 2:16
16 For who has known the mind of the LORD
that he may instruct Him?
But we have the mind of Christ.
SWORD OF THE SPIRIT
SWORD This is our only offensive weapon. All the
other pieces of equipment are defensive and used for
protection. It is only through the offensive
weapons that we can forge ahead and defeat
satan. Our sword is His Word, the Bible. With it,
we can slay the evil in the world as it presents
itself to us. Read your Bible, learn His Word and
memorize verses. Keep it on the tip of your
tongue.
Psalm 149:6
6 Let the high praises of God
be in their mouth,
And a two-edged sword in their hand,
Luke 4:8
8 And Jesus answered and said to him,
“Get behind Me, Satan!”
For it is written,
„You shall worship the LORD your God,
and Him only you shall serve.‟
PRAYER
AND PRAY This is our other offensive
weapon, equal in importance to knowing
God's Word. God does not fully pour His
Spirit into us in power until we fully pour our
spirit out to him in prayer. Communication
with the Commander is vital to receive orders and help.
2 Chronicles 6:40
40 Now, My God,
I pray,
Let Your eyes be open
and Your ears be attentive
to the prayer made in this place.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
16 Rejoice always,
17 pray without ceasing,
18 in everything give thanks;
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
James 5:16
16 Confess your trespasses to one another,
and pray for one another,
that you may be healed.
The effective, fervent prayer of a
righteous man avails much.
Romans 13:12
12 The night is far spent,
the day is at hand.
Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness,
and let us put on the armor of light.
CHAPTER 27
The Word of God
John 1:1
1 In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
Joshua 1:8
8 This Book of the Law shall
not depart from your mouth,
but you shall meditate
in it day and night,
that you may observe to do
according to all that is written in it.
For then you will make your way prosperous,
and then you will have good success.
Proverbs 18:21
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit.
1 Peter 1:23
23 having been born again,
not of corruptible seed
but incorruptible,
through the word of God which lives
and abides forever,
Hebrews 4: 12-13
12 For the word of God is living and powerful,
and sharper than any two-edged sword,
piercing even to the division of soul and spirit,
and of joints and marrow,
and is a discerner of the thoughts
and intents of the heart.
13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight,
but all things are naked
and open to the eyes of Him
to whom we must give account.
The Word of God is compared to a double-edged
sword. We are to understand that the sword is like a
surgical tool in the spiritual realm, used to cut
out what infects our soul and brings defeat.
The moment the Word of God starts to
penetrate into our heart and mind, satan
immediately tries to neutralize the effect of
the Word. First, he will work to keep us from
reading the Bible. If he cannot do that, he will try to
distract us so that we do not read with comprehension or
bring doubt to what we are reading. Where the devil does
not succeed in taking the Bible from us, he works hard at
taking us from the Bible.
The Word of God exposes everything. God can see all
things; nothing can hide from His sight. He confronts the
things we do not want to face such as pride, self-
satisfaction and smugness.
There can be no pretense in any area of our life. The
Word of God judges our thoughts and also all motives.
The Word goes deep into every cell within our spiritual life
and does not stop until all contamination is exposed.
Once revealed, wickedness is removed.
The Word of God judges our thoughts, activities,
motives and secret intentions. Our flesh does not demand
to hear that it is wrong or cannot have its own way. The
flesh of man is stubborn and rebellious. The fleshly mind
has taken its very nature and characteristics from satan.
Therefore, what satan loves, your flesh loves.
Our flesh is not trustworthy. But, what we cannot do
for ourselves, the Word of God will, if we allow it. God
does not just cut us open, leaving us exposed. He puts us
back together restoring us to health. God cuts out what is
necessary and then binds up our wounds, bringing
healing.
Hebrews 4:16
16 Let us therefore come boldly
to the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy
and find grace to help in time of need.
It is in our nature to run and hide from the Person we
think knows too much about us. However, we also have
to understand that God already knew everything about us
before He created us. We cannot hide from Him. The
Word of God will fulfill and bless us. His hope is to totally
restore, enrich and strengthen each one of us. We need
to ask Him to work within us that which is pleasing to
Him.
The only good thing about us is Jesus; the only good
thing in us is Jesus.
Psalm 17:8
8 Keep me as the apple of Your eye;
Hide me under the shadow of Your wings,
Colossians 1:10
10 That you may walk worthy of the Lord,
fully pleasing Him,
being fruitful in every good work
and increasing in the knowledge of God;
CHAPTER 28
Praise
2 Samuel 22:4
4 I will call upon the LORD,
who is worthy to be praised;
So shall I be saved from my enemies.
Hebrews 13:15
15 Therefore by Him let us continually
offer the sacrifice of praise to God,
that is,
the fruit of our lips,
giving thanks to His name.
Exodus 15:2
2 The LORD is my strength and song,
And He has become my salvation;
He is my God,
and I will praise Him;
My father‟s God,
and I will exalt Him.
2 Chronicles 5:13-14
13 indeed it came to pass,
when the trumpeters and singers were as one,
to make one sound to be heard in praising
and thanking the LORD,
and when they lifted up their voice
with the trumpets and cymbals
and instruments of music,
and praised the LORD, saying:
“For He is good,
For His mercy endures forever,”
that the house,
the house of the LORD,
was filled with a cloud
14 so that the priests could not
continue ministering because of the cloud;
for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.
Psalm 150:6
6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
19 Do you not know that your body
is a temple of the Holy Spirit,
who is in you,
whom you have received from God?
You are not your own;
20 you were bought at a price.
Therefore honor God with your body.
How do we praise?
Psalm 141:2
2 The lifting up of my hands
as the evening sacrifice.
Hebrews 13:15
15 Therefore by Him let us continually
offer the sacrifice of praise to God,
that is,
the fruit of our lips,
giving thanks to His name.
CHAPTER 29
Anointing Oil
1 John 2:20
20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One,
and you know all things.
Revelation 3:18
18 counsel you to buy from Me gold
refined in the fire,
that you may be rich;
and white garments,
that you may be clothed,
that the shame of your nakedness
may not be revealed;
and anoint your eyes with eye salve,
that you may see.
Ecclesiastes 9:8
8 Let your garments always be white,
And let your head lack no oil.
Exodus 30:31
31 And you shall speak to the
children of Israel, saying:
This shall be a holy anointing oil
to Me throughout your generations.
The verse below refers to a "copy” of true things in
heavenly areas. Anointing oil represents the anointing of
the Holy Spirit or God's anointing.
Hebrews 9:23-24
23 Therefore it was necessary that
the copies of the things
in the heavens should be purified with these,
but the heavenly things themselves
with better sacrifices than these.
24 For Christ has not entered the
holy places made with hands,
which are copies of the true,
but into heaven itself,
now to appear in the presence
of God for us;
Luke 7:44-46
44 Then He turned to the woman and said to Simon,
“Do you see this woman?
I entered your house;
you gave Me no water for My feet,
but she has washed My feet with her tears
and wiped them with the hair of her head.
45 You gave Me no kiss,
but this woman has not ceased
to kiss My feet since the time I came in.
46 You did not anoint My head with oil,
but this woman has anointed
My feet with fragrant oil.”
Mark 6:13
13 And they cast out many demons,
and anointed with oil many who were sick,
and healed them.
James 5:14
14 Is anyone among you sick?
Let him call for the elders of the church,
and let them pray over him,
anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
Mark 14:8
8 She has done what she could.
She has come beforehand to anoint
My body for burial.
Luke 23:55-56
55 And the women who had come with Him
from Galilee followed after,
and they observed the tomb
and how His body was laid.
56 Then they returned and prepared spices
and fragrant oils.
Oil was used to prepare Jesus for His death and burial…..
Matthew 26:7-12
7 A woman came to Him having an alabaster flask
of very costly fragrant oil,
and she poured it on His head as
He sat at the table.
8 But when His disciples saw it,
they were indignant,
saying, “Why this waste?
9 For this fragrant oil might have been sold
for much and given to the poor.”
10 But when Jesus was aware of it,
He said to them,
“Why do you trouble the woman?
For she has done a good work for Me.
11 For you have the poor with you always,
but Me you do not have always.
12 For in pouring this fragrant oil on My body,
she did it for My burial.”
Ruth 3:3
3 Therefore wash yourself and anoint yourself,
put on your best garment
and go down to the threshing floor;
Leviticus 14:15-18
15 And the priest shall take some of the log of oil,
and pour it into the palm of his own left hand.
16 Then the priest shall dip his right finger
in the oil that is in his left hand,
and shall sprinkle some of the oil with his
finger seven times before the LORD.
17 And of the rest of the oil in his hand,
the priest shall put some on the tip
of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed,
on the thumb of his right hand,
and on the big toe of his right foot,
on the blood of the trespass offering.
18 The rest of the oil that is in the priest‟s hand
he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed.
So the priest shall make atonement
for him before the LORD.
Oil was also used to heal disease…..
Jeremiah 8:22
22 Is there no balm in Gilead,
Is there no physician there?
Why then is there no recovery
For the health of the
daughter of my people?
Anointing oil is used as a sign of joy…..
Hebrews 1:9
9 You have loved righteousness
and hated lawlessness;
Therefore God, Your God,
has anointed You with the oil of gladness
more than Your companions.
Isaiah 10:27
27 It shall come to pass in that day
That his burden will be taken away
from your shoulder,
And his yoke from your neck,
And the yoke will be destroyed
because of the anointing oil.
Mark 4:22
22 For there is nothing hidden
which will not be revealed,
nor has anything been kept secret
but that it should come to light.
Matthew 15:13
13 But He answered and said,
“Every plant which My heavenly Father
has not planted will be uprooted.”
CHAPTER 30
Speaking in Tongues
1 Corinthians 14:5
5 I wish you all spoke with tongues.
All the gifts from the Holy Spirit are to work in unison
with one another. When this takes place, a beautiful
melody rises up to the throne of our God, becoming a
pleasing chorus to our Lord.
Isaiah 51:3
3 For the LORD will comfort Zion,
He will comfort all her waste places;
He will make her wilderness like Eden,
And her desert like the garden of the LORD;
Joy and gladness will be found in it,
Thanksgiving and the voice of melody.
1 Corinthians 14:16
16 Otherwise,
if you bless with the spirit,
how will he who occupies the place
of the uninformed say
“Amen” at your giving of thanks,
since he does not understand
what you say?
1 Corinthians 12:28
28 And God has appointed these in the church:
first apostles,
second prophets,
third teachers,
after that miracles,
then gifts of healings,
helps,
administrations,
varieties of tongues.
To magnify Him…..
Acts 10:46
46 For they heard them speak with tongues
and magnify God.
To edify yourself…..
1 Corinthians 14:4
4 He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself
Jude 1:20-21
20 But you, beloved,
building yourselves up on your most holy faith,
praying in the Holy Spirit,
21 keep yourselves in the love of God,
looking for the mercy of our
Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Mark 16:17
17 And these signs will follow those who believe:
In My name they will cast out demons;
they will speak with new tongues;
2 Corinthians 1:22
22 who also has sealed us
and given us the Spirit
in our hearts as a guarantee.
Matthew 3:11
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance,
but He who is coming after me
is mightier than I,
whose sandals I am not worthy to carry.
He will baptize you with the
Holy Spirit and fire.
CHAPTER 31
It Is Finished
Psalm 116:1
1 I love the LORD,
because He has heard
My voice and my supplications.

7 You are my hiding place;
You shall preserve me from trouble;
You shall surround me with

Selah
Isaiah 64:8
8 But now, O LORD, You are our Father;
We are the clay,
and You our potter;
And all we are the work of Your hand.
Exodus 15:18-19
18 The LORD shall reign
forever and ever.
19 For the horses of Pharaoh
went with his chariots
and his horsemen into the sea,
and the LORD brought back
the waters of the sea upon them.
Exodus14:21
21 And Moses stretched out
his hand over the sea;
and the Lord caused the sea to go back
by a strong east wind all that night,
and made the sea dry land,
and the waters were divided.
Before the Israelites was a path that would lead them
to safety. In this crucial moment, God wanted His people
to believe He would hold back the water until they arrived
safely on the other side. God desired for His people to
have a faith that declared, “He who began this miraculous
rescue from death will finish it for His glory”.
Philippians 1:5-6
5 for your fellowship in the gospel
from the first day until now,
6 being confident of this very thing,
that He who has begun a good work in you
will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
Psalm 107:14
14 He brought them out of darkness
and the shadow of death,
And broke their chains in pieces.
Psalm 22:8
8 He trusted in the LORD,
let Him rescue Him;
Let Him deliver Him,
since He delights in Him!
Isaiah 53:5
5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
Genesis 18:14
14 Is anything too hard for the LORD?
Dear Jesus,
I come to you knowing that you died on the cross for
me personally and now I choose You to be my Lord and
Savior. I repent of all my sins and ask you to forgive me.
As Your Word states, You will cleanse me from all
unrighteousness.
Set me free from the pain and hurt in my life. Break
the chains and shackles of all the bondages put onto me
by satan.
I thank you that you have heard my prayer and at this
very moment I am born-again. You are now dwelling
within me. Moreover, God is my Father and the Holy
Spirit is my Helper. I thank You that I am now free,
healed and delivered.
