Admission Procedure – School

Starting from Pre-Nursery and going up to O-Levels, students at The AMI School are encouraged to learn,
grow and develop in an inclusive, progressive and nurturing environment.

For the upcoming academic session 2019-20 (starting from August 2019) the admissions have begun and
will continue till 30thApril 2019.

Following is the step by step detailed admission process for your information. For any further clarification,
you may contact our Admission Office:

1. Registration

 Filing out the Application form is the first step in starting your child’s admission process at
The AMI School. The form is available at our Admission Office and for your ease it can also be
downloaded by clicking on The Application for Admission Forms (2019-2020).
 The form is self-explanatory but in case you need assistance, pleasefeel free to contact the
Admission office.
 The class for which the child is tested is determined according to the child's age, as per
following table:

Pre-Nursery 1.6 yrs – 2.5 yrs Class I 5.6 yrs – 6.5 yrs

Nursery 2.6 yrs – 3.5 yrs Class II 6.6 yrs – 7.5 yrs

K.G I 3.6 yrs – 4.5 yrs Class III 7.6 yrs – 8.5 yrs

K.G II 4.6 yrs – 5.5 yrs Class IV 8.6 yrs – 9.5 yrs

Class V 9.6 yrs – 10.5 yrs

Class VI 10.6 yrs – 11.5 yrs Class IX 13.6 yrs – 14.5 yrs

Class VII 11.6 yrs – 12.5 yrs O-I 14.6 yrs - 15.5 yrs

Class VIII 12.6 yrs – 13.5 yrs O-II 15.6 yrs – 16.5 yrs

The duly filled form needs to be submitted to the admission officewith the following:-

 A registration fee of Rs.2000/-


 2 recent passport size photographs of the child
 1 recent passport size photograph of each parent
 A copy of the child’s birth certificate ( NADRA)
 CNIC copies of both the parents
 A copy of the child’s school leaving certificate /Report cards for the last three years/transfer
certificate (whichever is applicable)
 Relevant medical reports of the child in case of any perceived special need
It is important to note here that registration does not in any way confirm or guarantee your child’s
admission. Admission is subject to passing the admission criteria andthe availability of seats.
2. Child’s Assessment

With respect to the entrance test, following need to be noted carefully:-


 Children coming in Pre-Nursery and Nursery do not go through any testing.
 Children coming in KG I are assessed on the basis of their behavior and speech before an
interview can be scheduled.
 Students applying for admission in KG II and onwards are required to appear for a formal
entrance test.
 The duration of this assessment test ranges from one hour to two and a half hours, depending
upon the class applied for.
 The child is expected to appear for the test appropriately equipped with the required
stationery.
 Parents are notified about the result within 3working days after the test.

3. Family Interview

 On clearing theentrance test,the family isprovided with an interview appointment.


 Both the parents and the child are tobe present at the interview.
 The admission office will contact the family and apprise them of the final resultthrough a
telephone call within 3working days after the interview.

4. Enrollment

 On successfully clearing the admission criteria parents will be provided with the admission fee
voucher by the Admission Office.
 The payment for the same can be made in either cash, cheque or pay order to the Accounts
Office within 3 working days of the issuance of the fee voucher.
 The fee voucher includes the following:-
o Admission Fees (non-refundable)
o Security Deposit (Refundable as per policy signed by parents)
o Annual Charges (payable once in a year)
o Monthly Fee (for 1 month)
 Against the receipt, issued by the Accounts Office, the Admission Office provides the
credentials to fill in the admission form online.
 Once the form is filled in and submitted online, data will be reviewed by the admission
office. If any clarity / information isrequired, admission office will contact the parent.
 Admission office will intimate the parent to visit the office, along with following, for signing
the form:
o 6 recent passport size photographs of child
o 2 recent passport size photographs of each parent
o 2 recent passport size photographs of the person authorized to pick and drop the child
other than the parents
o CNIC copy of the person authorized to pick and drop the child other than the parents
 Confirmation of Admission is subject to receipt of Admission Confirmation Letter.
 The child is permitted to attend classes only after receiving the Admission Confirmation
Letter from the Accounts Office along with the expected joining date.

5. Payment of charges :

 The payment is to be deposited at designated branches of The Habib Metropolitan Bank


once the fee voucher has been issued.
 Any fee unpaid till after the due date is subject to late payment charges.
 Any fee outstanding till the end of the month of fee voucher issuance will result in
cancellation of admission, in which case the security deposit will not be refunded or adjusted
in the outstanding fee, late charges and any other outstanding charges.
 The fee structure is subject to an annual review.
6. Submission of Admission Form:-

 Type < www.amischool.edu.pk> in the address bar of your browser.


 Click on 'Admissions' tab on left side of the screen.
 Click on 'Online Admission Form'.
 Login with User/Registration ID and Password provided by the Admission Office.
 Fill in all fields of the form and click 'Submit' tab.
