STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

“Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man”- Swami Vivekananda

I strongly believe in the statement that, education is the medium through
which we are able to manifest that perfection in us. I would like to describe myself as a young
learner in quest of knowledge, fueled by a desire to understand the modern era.

REASONS TO CHOOSE GRADUATE STUDY:

The decision to pursue graduate studies in Electrical Engineering is
indeed one of the most significant decisions of my academic career. A graduate study is
essential to strengthen the foundation of fundamental concepts that have been laid during my
present course of study and provided me with adequate foothold and exposure. I sincerely
believe that graduate education can help mould a creative, mature and inquisitive frame of
mind. Graduate study is an important milestone in eternal journey of education. I contemplate to
graduate to elevate knowledge and skills in areas of my interests. I presume it will serve to give
course to my goal of a career as a research professional at an academic, commercial or
research oriented organization.
I was always fond of problem solving questions and this triggered me to
solve numerous examples thus enabling me to gain the tactics and methods for such
challenging questions. Apparently, mathematics became one of my favorite subjects. Further
during my high school, learning about Gravity, Electrons and Current increased my curiosity
to learn more about Physics. This keen interest in Mathematics and Physics enabled me to
develop stronger quantitative and analytical skills.

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND:
Ever since in my early academic career, my strengths have included
logical, analytical & practical thinking. I have been a bright student throughout my academic
career with special linking for Mathematics. I scored 91% in Mathematics in my X standard.
So I had chosen Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry oriented curriculum during XII standard
to reinforce these strengths. I burnt the midnight oil to prove my mettle with successful results.
I scored an excellent score of 93% percent in XII standard that made it easy to pursue my
dream of becoming an Electronics Engineer. I am happy to state that my average of 99% in
Mathematics and 89% in Physics in my XII board exams. I was ranked in the top 9% of over
1,50,000 students in the Common Engineering Entrance Examination. My outstanding
performance has provided me with a privilege of choice. The multidisciplinary facet of
Electronics and Communication Engineering, its broad scope and wide applications made me
opt it as my major in the undergraduate course. I had completed my Undergraduate studies at
“Swami Vivekananda Institute of Technology” affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological
University (JNTU), Hyderabad. In “Swami Vivekananda's College” i am not only imparted with
knowledge but also provided a strong platform to hone my conceptual thinking and skills.
 AREAS OF INTEREST IN MY MAJOR COURSE:
The exhaustive nature of undergraduate studies at SVIT helped me
develop a sound foundation in all the major areas of Electronics and Communication
Engineering. My undergraduate curriculum includes Network Analysis, Switching Theory and
Logic Design, Digital Signal Processing, VLSI, Optical Communication and Telecommunication
and Switching Networks. Computer related topics like Computer Organization and Computer
Networks. With this academic background I feel that this grasp of Electronics and
Communication Engineering coupled with a master’s degree in Telecommunications and
Networking would help me apply my skills to meet the new demands of scalability, security, and
performance. On the other hand, the intensive laboratory classes exposed me to a fascinating
world of experimentation. It was here where I discovered the qualities of perseverance and
diligence in myself. I feel that these courses have done a lot in preparing me for my future
studies and research work.
Undergraduate studies was a period of strong footing for my future
scientific career, where I could go beyond the books, sharing ideas and continuous learning was
a vital ingredient of that phase. Besides this, I actively participated in paper presentation on the
topics Red Tacton, Nano Technology. I have been an active member of the successful teams
at various sports events in my school days. All have helped me to maneuver my personality.
Today I can cherish the team work and active competitive spirit I could develop, more than the
prize winning moments. I always enjoyed team work and has actively organized several events
at both school and college.

RESEARCH BACKGROUND:
I can proudly say that the highlight of my undergraduate study is my
project work. I have done two projects of which one is mini project and other is academic main
project which are outstanding and enlighten my undergraduate course.. I have done my projects
in MONOLITHIC LABS along with my team members.
The design of Radio Frequency Controlled Robot (mini project) is
simple mobile robot which is just a basic operation of its larger industrial counter parts. The
movement of this design is controlled by the user by sending corresponding radio signals by
means of an Radio Frequency TX_RX module pair which is then processed by the micro
controller to generate proper driver signals. The forward or backward motion of the robot is
achieved by the force of two be motors rotating in the same direction and the turning of the
robot is achieved by employing counter rotation principle.
The goal of Finger Print Based Attendance System (academic main
project) is to design fully automatic embedded system to register attendance which identify
individuals based on their fingerprints and provide high level of authenticity to the system. The
system takes the image of each individuals finger print and stores it as a page with a unique
one, it scans the image and compare with all the image stored in its data base and registers that
person's that attendance respectively in an EEPROM, which can be checked at a later date.
 While doing this project I learnt how to work with the team member in a
cooperative manner. We built our project with what we had learnt in our class room and in the
text book. Thus, we learnt how to practically implement what we understood in theory. The core
technology used to build this is Embedded System.

Ever since, I made my decision to pursue graduate studies in U.S.A, as
i see learning and teaching at two sides of the same coin of intellectual growth. I recognize the
fact that at your university, with its commitment to foster intellectual excellence is a remarkably
strong and an attractive place to embark up on an academic career. I thought that your
university truly meets my expectations on account of its distinguished faculty and state of
infrastructure. In fact, after having a look at the tracks that are being offered, I have no doubt
that your university is the appropriate one for me. The facilities in the form of various
laboratories and research centers and the strong rapport with industries would develop my
practical skills and hone them to meet the rigorous demands of a career that lies ahead of me.
This will ultimately help me provide vital contributions to society and work in a way to expedite
the advancement and betterment of humanity as a whole.
I am very conspicuous about my career aspirations with a belief that
education is a lifelong process. I therefore, wish to pursue a doctoral degree after my graduate
program in Electrical Engineering at your university. I am fully aware that your curriculum
requires that I summon all my resource and I aver that I have the necessary commitment, and
stamina to work consistently towards a result oriented approach to address all scientific
demands with a deep focus on short term goals which would make my association memorable
and profitable with your esteemed university. I also believe that working with you would
definitely add to my potential and also open new avenues for me.
Reaping the best while putting in the best will be materialized only at the
best of the possible places. As it is said that winning starts with good beginning, I want to enroll
in your university as a graduate student and emerge as a winner. Thank you for the opportunity
