Well Test Analysis – Gas

Modified Isochronal
1 WELL TEST ANALYSIS – GAS MODIFIED ISOCHRONAL
A producing gas was shut-in for 20 hours prior to performing a Modified Isochronal gas test. The estimated
reservoir pressure, temperature and fluid properties are as follows:
Pr = 1948 psia γg = 0.605 (air =1.0)
Tr = 120 C02 = 0.00 mole percent
H2s = 0.00 mole percent
N2 = 1.38 mole percent

Analyze the well test using the Simplified Analysis technique to determine the well’s current deliverability
coefficients, C and n, in the deliverability equation,:

q = C ( P 2 r − P 2 wf ) n (1)

Secondly, what is the well’s Absolute Open Flow (AOF) potential.
