    COURSE SYNOPSIS

    This course is the sociology of news for journalism and broadcasting student. Due to its
    multidisciplinary and complex in nature, this course is designed to expose students to various
    journalism model that are developed due to history information domination, diverse economic
    and political system.

    Students will be exposed to the Western press system based on Libertarian free press model
    and how it differs in terms of journalistic practice with the Asian Development Journalism
    Model.
