Subject:- Eligibility of students for pollution control Board.

The curriculum of B.Tech Agricultural Engineering covers almost all basic

subjects of Civil Engineering viz..Surveying & Leveling, Engineering Mechanics,
Watershed Hydrology, Soil Mechanics, Environmental Engineering, Strength of Material,
Building Technology & Construction Practices, Design of Structures. Besides this the
curriculum covers many interdisciplinary subject such as Fluid Mechanics, Workshop
Technology and Practice, Engineering Drawing, Engineering Physics, Engineering
Chemistry, Engineering Mathematics, Principles of Soil Science, Computer
Programming etc. Syllabus of B.Tech Agricultural Engineering is enclosed as per
Annexure-I.
Due to comprehensive knowledge gained by students at graduation level,
the students of B.Tech Agricultural Engineering are eligible to get admission in M.E
Programme of Environmental Engineering in Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh
(Annexure-II, pg-8).

Keeping in view the stake of the students & the comprehensive curriculum
of B.Tech Agricultural Engineering, it is requested that qualification for the post of
Assistant Environment Engineer may please be modified to include B.Tech in
Agricultural Engineering.
