1. What is the holistic meaning of health?

Health, in its holistic sense, include the bodily, psychic, spiritual and religious dimension of man.

2. What is the basic assumption of bioethics?

Basic assumption of bioethics is that human life must be preserved and protected by all necessary
means.

3. How is drug addiction immoral?

Drug addiction is highly immoral because when you are under the possession of drugs, you cannot
think right and there's high probability that you'll do something wrong and immoral.

4. Why is it immoral to sell one’s body, its parts or functions?

It’s highly immoral, since it was part of your body and it is yours. If there's something happens to you,
you can't blame others but yourself. This practice is inhuman because our bodies are not for selling,
and not to be bought. God own us for He Created us, and we have no rights to sell it and made it for
our own interests.

5. Are we to value life for its own sake?

We value life not for our own sake but for the sake of our family, society and especially for God because
we owe it to our family society to be healthy and to God to be spiritually healthy.

Exercise No. 23

1. Give two reasons why you are in favor or against abortion.

I am against to abortion because it is evil. Especially if you have intention to kill a baby. I am against
because of many reason, and one of them is because you are taking the possible life for the baby,
stealing is a crime and killing is a evil. And also because baby do have right to live a life. And no one
have the right to take a life.

2. Is plastic surgery for purposes of aesthetics or beauty as vanity; therefore, immoral?

For my opinion, plastic surgery is not for the purpose of beauty but about being not contented for what
you have. You are not contented for your physical appearance so you try for plastic surgery. Therefore,
plastic surgery is immoral. Whatever you do to your body because of dissatisfaction is immoral because
you are not contented for what God gave to you.
