HCF and LCM: Very simple ones.

Use a×b=HCF×LCM
 to solve most of the questions
 Time: These questions are tricky. Try to remember these: 60 min of long hand = 360 degrees
so 1 min of long hand = 6 degrees. 1 hr of short hand = 30 degrees similarly. Now try to draw the
time specified and find angle approximately and eliminate wrong ones. Then try to compute the
angle exactly by little geometry by assuming long angle moved by x degrees.
 Work: They don’t follow direct proportionality rule. If many people work then we need less
time. based on this formulate the equation and solve.
 Mixtures: Assume initial concentration to be x. Then solve what is the value of mixing. Just
add total quantity of mixture in final and find ratio to initial. You can do similarly for 2–3 mixes
which is what normally asked.
 Boats: Assume distance to be x or time to be x and use distance = speed × time. Now for
upstream, you are towing against it. So relative speed is your speed - speed of stream. Take this
speed only in D=Vt formula. Then in downstream water is helping you to tow, So relative speed
is your speed + speed of stream. Use this speed in D=Vt. In both cases D is same but t and V are
different. Solve the problem now! V1t1=V2t2

6. Train: D=Vt is used for poles and add platform length for D if it is given.
7. Probability: probability = favorable cases/total cases. try to use it to find total probability.
Learn different distributions.
8. Directions: Visualize that you are actually standing facing that given direction and now
follow the given steps by rotating your finger direction and then you see the answer.
9. Cubes and Colors: Use combinations and solve these questions very easily or manually
count them.
10. Profit and Loss: Loss/Gain=SP-CP. Use other similar basic equations to solve.
11. Calendar: Assume today date as given date and manually calculate required date instead
of counting from some random date. Very important and needs good practice.
12. Age: assume that today your age is given value. Now calculate before 2 years or after 2
years by writing year and age on paper so that the solution is very simple. Easy questions
and Important.
13. Blood Relations: Just try to solve such problems as if you are related to them and convert
that English wording into your native language so that you can easily understand what is
the relation. Tricky and important.
14. Bar Chats/Pie Diagrams: Try to understand the data given. Segregate data as much as
possible. Don’t try to solve the given data. Just try to read the question and solve them.
Try to find how given question data is required for other questions and draw a graph or
bar chat to understand the data. Practice these questions well! Very important.
15. Critical Reasoning: Try to write given data and find the match to other set of given data.
Then once some links are found, go to question and find the remaining missing links by
looking at the options. Best way to solve such questions is to eliminate the wrong
options. Assume (a) is correct and check what happens. If you get contradiction then go
to (b) and so on.
I would suggest to go through all the models. Since all topics are equally likely to be asked and
important topics may not be touched in your paper so have idea on all topics and prepare some
sheet saying how to solve each models mentioning the way I have written. Topics to practice
more:

1. Critical Reasoning
2. Bar Chats/Pie Diagrams
3. Blood Relations
4. Directions
