6. INDICATIONS OF TRANSPORT, RECEPTION AND STORAGE.
(2006/42/ CE )

The machine and its accessories must be protected against

blows that could take place during the transport, so the machine
has to go perfectly moored.

The machine must be reviewed when it arrives at his destiny.

Verify:

1. That it has not undergone deteriorations.

2. If the totality of the order is received.

3. That the technical data of the plate agree with the order.

At the time of the hoisting of the machine this it must be made by zones
that do not damage parts of the same one and by the designed elements
(eyebolts).

The storage has great importance for the conservation of the machine
and later operation without problems, so is obligated:

- To clean the machine, as much inner completely as externally.

- It will be avoided whenever it is possible the exhibition prolonged

outdoors, mainly to the abrupt changes of temperature.

In order to move or to uninstall the equipment is needed:

a) To unplug the electrical energy.

b) To disconnect the pipes of inlet, outlet, purges, etc.

d) To raise the equipment by means of suitable elements.

7. INDICATIONS RELATIVE TO START UP. (2006/42/ CE )

Before starting up, it is advisable to follow all these instructions.

a.- March and test of the drive motors

Verify if the voltage of the engines fit in with the one of the network.

Verify the connections of the engine.

Verify the rotator direction of the engine.

Control as much as possible the stability of running and the balance.

b.- Levelling.

Verify the correct levelling of the machine. Incorrect equipment levelling

repels in a very important way in the performance.

A wrong transverse levelling would origin an efficacy waste in the

rotatory sieve.

A wrong longitudinal levelling would cause undesirables variations in

the Rotatory Sieve’s flow, having repercussions in the performance:
 Flow excess, which could cause splashing and expulsion of
water outside.
 Flow reduction because of inappropriate leak through the
overflow circuit.
To do a correct levelling we must put two bubble levels in perpendicular
directions and introduce level plates under the legs until the equipment is
perfectly levelled.

Subjection must be properly done using spigots or screws in the holes

of the sieve legs
c. - Hydraulic connection.

PIPING:

Pipes that go in or way out bridles and others must be supported by

themselves, must not hang of the machine’s bridle.

DRAINAGE:

Sieve blow off (with external screw ( 3” or 2 ½”) place in the back of the
drum). A ball check valve must be placed to do periodic blow offs.

CLEANING KIT:
THE PROVIDED CLEANING KIT (SEPARATELY PACKED) MUST
BE ASSEMBLED IN THE INLET WATER PIPE FOR AUTOCLEANING.

d.- Layout.

Place the equipment respecting the established minimum distances

from the walls for the good performance of the machine and let develop its
work and, of course, maintaining the security conditions. The equipment will
have a minimum separation of 0,75 meters for each side respectively to any
element..

d.- Assemble and dismantle.

The filtration equipment will be supplied totally assembled.

During the installation of the equipment will be only necessary the
electric and hydraulic connections.

AN ELECTRO-VALVE THAT CONTROLS THE AUTOMATIC

CLEANING OF THE SIEVE´S MESH MUST BE ASSEMBLED.
8. DESCRIPTION OF THE MACHINE AND ITS OPERATION

Introduction: The Rotatory Sieve is a high capacity filter with a smaller

size than the others sieves for solid liquid separation, with the aim of avoid
obstructions and mechanic problems in the installations. The obstructions are
almost non-existents because of the cleaning effect.

Operation: The waste to be treated is inserted through the bridle

placed in the outer of the body, distributing itself evenly in the overflow channel
through the filter drum. The solids will stay on the surface of the cylinder while
the waste goes straight through the slots carrying out an auto-cleaning function
when it passes again through the lower part of the drum.

Automatic cleaning of the Sieve: For the automatic cleaning of the

sieve, an electro-valve is installed in the water entrance of sieve cleaning. This
cleaning must be made with clean water under a pressure of 3 bar or more.

Description: The rotatory sieve consists of the following elements:

Filter Drum (1): Made of a stainless steel triangular cross section bar rolled
around a frame of longitudinal ribs. The base of the triangular bar
coincides with the outer surface of the drum. This highly rigid and resistant
device retains the solids which are larger than the mesh size used on the
surface thus preventing the accumulation of solids inside.

4 5
Body (2): where the filter drum is fixed using an axel with bearings at the
upper front part. The rear part of the body has a reception tank for the
liquid to be screened, distributing it as a laminar stream.

Cleansing Shaver (3): that eliminates solids deposited on the surface of the
filter drum.

Driving mechanism (4): consisting of a geared motor coupled directly to the

shaft of the body, thus providing the filter drum with the rotational
movement.

Filtered liquid reception tank (5): this is al the bottom of the body to collect
the filtered liquid which is evacuated through a clamped tube.

Washing tube: situated inside of the filter drum, it has nozzles that shoot
water under pressure onto the inner surface of the cylinder carrying out a
complete cleaning.

Operating process of automatic cleaning system:

Everytime you start pumping waste into the sieve (pump active), the engine of
the screen and self-cleaning valve it starts. The rotational engine operation will be
running in a continuous way provided that the sludge pump is connected.

The process of self-cleaning operation will be described in the timing diagram

shown on the next page. The solenoid is activated and deactivated during a
configurable time in successive cycles. To regulate the time you can use a selector
where you can control the time at which the valve will be activated or deactivated.

-Ton: time during which the electrovalve remains active. (15 sec. approx)
-Toff: time during which the valve is off. (2 min. approx).

When the pump switches off, the rotatory sieve will perform a final cleaning of the
drum. This last cleaning is configured by a delay time “Tr”, usually the same as “Ton” of
the electrovalve during the usual operation cycle. This time may be configurable by
another selector. When the last cleaning finishes, the valve and the spindle motor turn
off.
9. MAINTENANCE AND EMERGENCY REPAIR. (2006/42/ CE )

- Daily observation of the equipment and its operation and the operation
of the electro valve.

- Check the enter flow.

- Each 2500 hour of work lubrication of bearings.

-Replace the clearing shaver and the pieces of PVC and nylon of
entrance. It depends on the use.

- The sieve must be totally cleaned with pressured water at least once
per year, being necessary to repeat these cleanings in case of stops longer
than one week or in case of excess of dirty in the sieve.

Possible breakdowns

a) Breakdown in the electro-valves

-The reel can be burned.
- The passage of the power-assisted control could be blocked, clean
and check the system.
- Breakdown of the feeding pipe of water to electro-valve.

b) Splashing and expulsion of water to outside.

- Because of freezing of fluid to filter
- Because of excess of dirt.
- Because of excess of flow
- Because wrong levelled out.
