1. GPK’S SPEECH Mr. Ahmad
The GPK 1, expresses his gratitude to the teachers for their presence.
Mr. Mohd Ahmad request all English teacher to complete the TOV form
and student result Analysis.

2. HEAD OF ELP’S SPEECH Mr. Shahirul

The Chairperson welcomes the members and thanks them for attending
the English Language Panel (ELP) first meeting for the year 2017.

Mr. Shahirul expresses his appreciation to all the teachers for their co-
operation and commitment to ensure that all the objectives planned for
the current year shall be achieved.

4. Previous meeting. Mr. Samuel
Mr. Samuel Isaiah presents the minutes of the previous meeting.
Pn Hamizah Binti Jaafar supports the authenticity of the presentation.

5. ENGLISH LANGUAGE SYLLABUS AND LESSON PLAN STANDARDIZATION. English teachers

The English Panel Head informed the teachers to use the previous syllabus
sent by KPM & PPD Pekan.
Teachers are also briefed about the lesson plan format for KSSR.
In the lesson plan teacher should include these items

KSSR:
Unit:

Theme: WOS/WOK/WOST

Focus: Listening,Speaking/Reading/Writing/Grammar

Content Standard: 2.2

Learning Standard: 2.2.1

Induction: Introduction to the lesson

Activities : Teacher asks pupils to read the text.

Pupils answer the question

Teacher discusses the answers.

Closure: Summary/reinforcement

Reflection:

 Objectives achieved/not achieved

 30% of the students are not able to answer the
question correctly.

The English Panel Head reminded all the teachers to constantly reflect on
their lessons by writing a short review at the ‘Reflection’ section.
6. KSSR EVIDENCE STANDARDIZATION. English teachers
6.1 Showcase File
 Each teacher must prepare a showcase file for each class.
 The file should contain the best of the students work in class,
which include the evidences given by the teacher.

6.2 Standardization of Evidence management

 Each students file, must contain the band descriptions (band 1-
band 6)
 Evidence has to done according to the bands not according to the
topics.
 6.3 Teachers File
 Teachers File must be complete at all times
 Students must be observed from time to time depending on the
teachers discretion

7. TYPES OF EXERCISES English teachers

Teachers should give more exercise to pupils, about 3 to 4 times a week.
(emphasis should be given to students with potential)

Teachers are advised to include more reading based activities and

exercise. (mediocre students)

Vocabulary mastery should be enforced as well via drilling, repetition, and

spelling. (weak students)

8. OTHER MATTERS Mr. Samuel

Teachers are reminded to keep their lesson plans in check, and to be
prepared with more teaching aids for their lessons.
