Old Mar Winter has certainly reminded us who is in control! I promise this, ‘musing won't be some old crotchety pastor rant, and I need you know how close I was to making it Last weekend we cancelled church because there was no travel advised on the roads, You know ‘what wasn’t cancelled...? Many sporting events and tournaments. I saw Facebook posts of people getting up and hour or two early to make sure they made the tournament on time. Wonder how many times we would do that to worship or Lord and Savior? Close...1 was so clase to traveling down that road! 1 didn’t want this to be a negative musing because we have plenty of negativity in our lives, Back to Old Man Winter and Mother Nature reminding us who isin control... got to thinking who is in control. Nerd alert... have deen watching Star Trek Deep Space Nine while I walk on the treadmill and there is a component of faith woven through the show. Do not judge me on my show choice. T needed some wholesome, pred ctable, easy to watch show and a lot of what's available now certainly doesn't fall into the wholesome category! Any who...in one episode a group of people broke from their faith because they had felt their gods had abandoned them during a very difficult time in their history. ‘These people felt that if their gods were true gods then nothing that bad should have happened to them and they walked away frem their faith, ‘As I was gasping for air -unning ata 12mph pace at an 8 incline I thought sometimes I view God that way. If God really cated for me and loved me then I wouldn't have to endure diffieult times. (0, if we've in the midst ofa trying time in our life do we walk away from our faith because we wonder ‘what our faith is doing for us. ~ have seen a drawing once that conveyed a wonderful message.
