The suspect was operating a Silver, Ford Edge, VIN # 2FMDK3JC4CBASE463, bearing Georgia conse (On 02/16/19 at approximately 0020 hours, the suspect was traveling inbound on Auraria Pkwy, at a high rate of speed, approaching the intersection with 12th St. The inbound and outbound lanes of ‘Auraria Pkwy. are separated by a raised median. The Northbound and Southbound lanes of 12th St., between the inbound and outbound lanes of the Auraria Pkwy. are separated by a raised grassy median with a sidewalk. The inbound and outbound lanes of Auraria Pkwy, between 12th St. and Speer Blvd. are separated by a grassy area with trees. While approaching the intersection with 12th St, the suspect drove off the left side of the roadway, traveling over a raised median. The suspect continued off the raised median and onto the Northbound lanes of 12th St. The suspect then struck the ralsed median on 12th St and became airborne. The suspect vehicle passed over the Southbound lanes of 12th St. landing in the grassy area to the East. The suspect vehicle tumbled end over end before coming landing on its wheels. No other vehicies were involved in this incident, ‘There were two passengers in the vehicle with the suspect. All three parties were transported to the. hospital from the scene. One of the passengers suffered Serious Bodily Injuries as a result of the collision ‘The speed limit for Auraria Pkwy at the scene of the colision is 90 MPH. Information from the vehicle and preliminary speed analysis confirms the suspect vehicle was traveling at over 70 MPH prior to leaving the roaaway and striking the raised center medians.
