Thank you for a good job.
Crossings From Pastor Denise,

So many exciting events are taking place at Peace Lutheran Church. But, I
know you can handle all that is happening. You are God’s faithful witnesses to
his love, grace, forgiveness, sacrifices, steadfastness, divine power.

First of all, March 6 is Ash Wednesday. One of our holiest days of the year.
You receive holy communion and ashes on your forehead. The service will be
about an hour in length.

Following each Wednesday after that will be delicious soup suppers at 5:30.
A half hour worship service at 6:30 with a drama monologue each week.
March 13: Esther, the reluctant hostess (Simon Peter’s mother-in-law)
March 20: Henry, the forgiven paralytic
March 27: Nancy, the perfume lady
April 3: The Freedom of Joel Schmoel
April 10: Tanya, the clean maid
The above are all people from your church, Peace Lutheran, who are willing to
act out these important roles. You won’t want to miss any of the dramas.
The worship services are designed for families/individuals in order that you
can be fed with a meal and with worship and still be able to be home early enough
to be home at an early hour.

The second exciting event is that you will be voting on extending a call to a
new pastor. You are blessed. You are so very, very, blessed. I can’t wait for you
to meet her. She will be your new shepherd. You will be in good hands. After
the vote, she will begin the call in April. She will finish Lenten services and bring
you to Holy Week and Easter.

So many events are happening at Peace. That’s the way God works. He
sends his Holy Spirit to awaken, refresh, renew, restore his love among each of
you.
I want to encourage you to attend the Wednesday evening worship services.
To welcome your new pastor with all your love and eagerness when you meet her.
Help her feel at home in Barrett and the surrounding area. Invite her to meet you,
give her time to get to know you, share your faith stories with her. We pastors
need to hear first hand how God has worked in your life or the life of your family
members.
Wow, Peace Lutheran, what an exciting time!
Thanks be to God! Pastor Denise Croskey

My husband Phil and I have so much to thank the members of Peace Lutheran Church for
welcoming us into your lives.
Thank you for accepting us the very first time we came to visit for a worship/coffee time.
Thank you for always stepping up to the plate for whatever I dreamed up along the way. We had
Beef Stew, Ham Dinner, Potato Bar, The Adopt a Family for Christmas, Jennifer and Mike did all
the work, everyone helped out, jars along the driveway Christmas Eve, a bell to be rung on All
Saints Sunday, Hanging of the Greens.

Whatever it was someone or many of you came through with willing hearts and hands.
Thank you for the many people who remembered us at Christmas, the death of Phil’s sister, even
Valentine’s Day. You have been wonderful.
A huge thank you to John Zdrazil who has been there for me over and over and over again and
still kept his sense of humor!!
Phil and I have one month left at of blessed memories. You won’t be forgotten and you will
continue to be in our prayers.
Our love and blessings to you as you embrace your new shepherd at your church.
