then wife of Samuel Workman, on 19 & 20 May 1696 granted to Daniel

29 Sep 1687 for securing the payment of £50 with interest granted to .I
Barbara Blagdon of the City of Bristol, widow, all the 2,000 acres except ;
100 acres Daniel Smith sold to George Chandler. Barbara Blagdon
having received the said £50 plus interest on 18 Feb 1694 did grant &
release all the 1,900 acres to Daniel Smith. Daniel Smith died & the
1,900 acres descended to Daniel Smith, late of Marlborough, cheese
factor, son & only heir of Daniel Smith. Randle Spakeman, admin. of the
estate of Daniel Smith, requested Isaac Taylor, surveyor in the County of
Chester, to survey & lay out a quantity of 1,000 acres which was laid out.'
in Caln in 2 tracts laying together. Whereas Daniel Smith the son has
since died the said 100 acres descended to John Smith eldest son of
Daniel Smith. Whereas John Smith by Letter of Attorney dated 5 Jan
1719, recorded in Philadelphia, Book D, Vol 5, Page 215, on 17 Aug 1721,
appointed Thomas Chalkley his attorney to sell said 1,000 acres. Thomas.
Chalkley for John Smith granted 500 acres to Thomas Lindley on 9 & 10 •
Sep 1723. Now Thomas Lindley & Hannah his wife for £350 grant to . i.

to wife Anne: $1,300, "new or west end of my dweling house and kitchen including the entry and
starecase and the privilege of using the stairs to the garrett," use of springhouse, walks, horse, etc.

to son Thomas: tract in East Caln purchased from James Hood, 65 acres 89 perches, and also tracts
in East Bradford and elsewhere

to son George: "part of the farm where I live:" by Obed Lewis & Samuel Hunt N 74.5 E 98 perches,
then by direct line through my farm N 4.25 W to Thomas Parke deceased, by it to west line of the
whole tract and with it and by 0. Lewis to start: 115.5 acres

to son John: the rest of the farm and tract where I dwell, land in West Bradford

Executors were son Thomas and son-in-law Lea Pusey, husband of Mary Edge.
