Protocolos
Los protocolos involucrados en VOIP son el set de protocolos H323. Estos protocolos son los utilizados para
mandar Audio y video a travez de una red de datos IP

Este protocolo es el encargado del manejo y control de la llamada, a través de este protocolo se realiza el
establecimiento de los canales de control de los canales de Audio/Video, y negociación de Facilities y Codecs
asociados a la llamada. Este protocolo es el encargado de las siguientes funciones y procesos.

• CAPABILITY EXCHANGE: es decir es el encargado de la negociación del codec asociado a una llamada,
también se encarga de hacer el fallback de un codec de Audio a uno de FAX en el caso de que se desee
mandar un fax, etc.
• MASTER-SLAVE TERMINATION En toda sesión H245 siempre hay un Master y un SLAVE, dicha
funcionalidad se negocia en el momento del setup de una llamada y permanece durante toda la llamada.
• ROUND-TRIP DELAY. Este protocolo es el encargado de medir el Delay al extremo remoto, y también
determina si el extremo remoto esta activo.
• LOGICAL CHANNEL SIGNALING es el encargado de establecer y finalizar los canales de Audio, Video
y Datos, Estos canales son controlados por los protocolos RTP y RTCP que viajan por UDP
Estos Codecs están ubicados a nivel aplicación en el modelo OSI y son los encargados de codificar y
comprimir el Audio para luego enviarlos por el canal de datos RTP que se estableció entre los dos Gateways, A
modo informativo se detallan los Codecs mas usados y el BW y delay asociado a cada uno.
RTP (Real Time Protocol) y RTCP(Real Time Control Protocol) son los protocolos encargados de
establecer un canal de datos end-to-end entre los elementos intervinientes en una llamada de VOIP, estos
canales son usados para mandar Audio, Vídeo y datos en tiempo real y de forma interactiva.
Los paquetes RTP y RTCP están montados sobre UDP.
Es utilizado por los Gateways para comunicarse con los gatekeepers. El canal RAS es establecido por
los Gateways y es independiente de las llamadas. A través de RAS los Gateways se registran a los Gatekeepers
informando prefijos, BW y estado de los recursos.
Los mensajes pueden ser:
1. De Registración: Estos mensajes son usados por los Gateways para registrarse a los Gatekeepers
• RRQ Registration Request
• RCF Registration Confirm
• RRJ Registration Reject
• URQ Unregister Request
• UCF Register Confirm

Estos debugs sirven para verificar que la señalización entre los GWs y los GKs se esta recibiendo y enviando
correctamente, Es aconsejable utilizar estos debug con cautela ya que cargan la CPU del Router, lo que puede
producir caidas del mismo.
