This booklet has been put together to help you
grow in your relationship with God and in your
knowledge of the bible.

In it there are all the teaching passages for our

current series EXILES. - along with related
b i b l e ve r s e s t o ex p l o re a n d g o d e e p e r.

Each week has two sections:

Session has the passage from that weeks Spin
t a l k o n 1 Pe t e r.
Devotion includes a reading that is related to
that weeks talk.

Our hope is that personally you will develop a

continued habit of spending time with God, so
use this material however it suits you best!

We would love to see you at Fresh (6-8) and

Merge (9-12) as we connect deeper with each
other and with God by sharing what we learn
through these readings.

DEVOTION
Devotions are a great way to spend intentional time with God. We’ve picked out a passage each week for
you to read that helps paint a bigger picture of what we’re learning in 1 Peter.

We encourage you to find time one day (or more!) this week to read the passage, reflect, and pray to God.

passage
james 1:1-17

REFLECTION
QUESTIONS
Sometimes it’s hard to understand the bible on our own, and thats fine! In order to know what the bible
is trying to teach us, try asking yourself these questions;

What sticks out to me, and what doesn’t make sense?

How does this fit in the context of the book/the bible?
What does this passage teach us about God?
What does this passage teach us about ourselves?
How does this passage apply to us today?
SESSION.
