Daily Report

Site: Shardarinskaya HPP – Shardara south Kazahstan

Location: Fire protection system of Generator unit 2

Saturday 24.11.2018
-Trip start, from Belgrade Serbia to Shardara Kazahstan

Sunday 25.11.2018.
- Arrival to Shardara Hotel 9:00AM local time
- 2:00 PM Quick site tour

Monday 26.11.2018. - On site from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

- General check of performed works:

Generator unit 2 - hi fog system:

- MAU1 and MAU2 hi fog system for protection of Generator unit 2 installed on place according to
project. All valves, pressure switches, limit switches, fittings and pipes included in MAU1 and MAU2
were installed.
- Cages for physical protection of MAU1 and MAU2 unit are installed.
- Upper ring pipes for generator protection, installed according to project. Nozzles are disconnected
and t-pieces are clogged ready for pressure test.
- Lower ring pipes for generator protection installed according to project with connected nozzles
- All nozzles are installed on places

Client informs that pressure test has not been done, it was not possible to find pressure source for 210 bars.
Clients (Andritz) informs that pressure test will be done soon as possible in future time.

Generator unit 2 - FECP:

- FECP installed on place according to project

- All detectors on upper ring installed according to project four heat and four smoke detectors
- All detector on lower ring installed according to project four heat and four smoke detectors
- Detectors are not labeled on client request, for generator safety while operating.
- All cables for connection - detectors, solenoid valves, pressure switches for MAU1 and MAU2, limit
switches for MAU1 and MAU2 were installed and connected to FECP
- Backup batteries in FECP was not installed

- Performed work:

- Backup batteries installed and connected, FECP energized with 240 v AC, after energizing panel,
zone 1,2,3,4,5,13 received fault signal. Outputs were without faults.
- Connected to FECP, download existing program, read detectors and upload new program to FECP
- Again recived faults on zone 1,2,3,4
- faults were that some heat and smoke detectors was mixed, after putting them on right places fault
was shown again. We checked each detector and cable line, find that some in and out cables in
detectors was wrongly connected. After correcting connections fault on zone 1,2,3,4 was clear.
- After testing system activating MCP, seen that flasher on combined flasher/sounder was not
working.
- Leaved panel energized overnight, fault on zone 13 and 5 were still present.

Tuesday 27.11.2018. - On site from 8.00 AM to 6:00 PM

- Performed work:

- Fault zone 13, disconnected all pressure and limit switches, put all valves in normal working position
(main ball valve open, test valve closed), pressurized low pressure switch for nitrogen pressure
monitoring. After reconnection zone 13 fault was clear
- Fault zone 5, installed connection in generator protection electrical cabinet with 1k alarm and 4.7k
monitoring resistor.
- After connection fault on zone 5 was clear
- Water cylinders was filed with water from generator cooling system which is filtered clean water.
- Nozzles on upper ring connected to pipe
- Combined flasher on flasher/sounder was rewired and worked normally
- Testing each smoke and heat detector, activating pre-alarm and main alarm
- Testing MCP, activating main alarm
- Testing flasher/sounder for pre-alarm and sounder for main alarm
- Testing main alarm activating discharge pressure switches
- Testing solenoid valves, lamp visual indication and with peace of metal to detect magnetic field
activity
- FECP left energized over night

Wednesday 28.11.2018. - On site from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM

- Performed work:

- Testing again whole system each element, preparing for testing in front of Client, which was
scheduled for 10AM
- 10AM started testing in front of client, whole system tested without faults.
- Zone 5 on client demand reprogramed to be 2 zone dependency, previously was programed direct.
- Protocol filing and signing
- Training was done after lunch 1:30PM
- After training solenoid valves put back, system pressurized and left in operation.
- Leaving site at 3:00 PM
- 4:00 PM local time started trip back to Belgrade
