School Counseling Program Mission Statement

The Pritzker Counseling program, in collaboration with all stakeholders, will provide each
student with the means to access their education in a safe, healthy, and supportive
environment. The counseling program will work to support students so that they can succeed
in society by embracing each student’s strengths while being mindful of their individuality. By
providing direct and indirect counseling services, each student will gain confidence in
themselves so that they may thoughtfully engage in their school and community.

School Counseling Program Goals


The school counseling program will focus on the following achievement, attendance and/or behavior goals this year.
Details of activities promoting these goals are found in the curriculum, small-group and closing-the-gap action plans.

Program Goal Statements


1 By June 2019, 6th grade students will increase their on track rate from 54% on-track to
57% on-track.

2 By September 2019, 92% of 8th grade students will be eligible to apply to selective
enrollment high schools.
