Preparatory process for wildlife handling
Safety of animal and handlers,
Tools and equipments for wildlife handling
Checklist and cleanliness of tools and equipments.
Safe handling of dart gun, its accessories and drugs.
Crates, cages and control boxes
Record keeping of tools and health and dart events
during animal handling.
12:00-13:00 Crowd management during wildlife capture,
rescue/handling: Understanding composition of the
crowed, communicate with peers, communicate with
local people, communication with senior staffs,
communication with core rescue team, communicate
with Army/police and other line agencies. Smart animal
handling. Cohesion with core rescue team

14:00-16:00 Practical session: Know tools and and equipment,
prepare checklist, clean tools and equipment, prepare
records during animal rescue/ handling

loading and releasing at site, health monitoring during
capture and transportation or release
11:45-12:45 Rehabilitate wildlife: monitor cage/ enclosure, sanitize
enclosure/booma, cage, health care inside enclosure

14:00-15:00 Care and feeding of wildlife: carnivores & herbivores,
young and adults, mammals and reptiles, birds
15:00-16:00 Safety measures during wildlife handling
16:00-17:00 Practical session: prepare load and release site, cage,
booma, transfer cage, etc.
