    Objective: Find the area of an object with various methods


    Material: Wall diagram card
    Procedure:

    A wall is built over a field as shown below. The length of the wall

    is 120cm while the height of the wall is 80cm. The surface area of each brick is

    600cm².

    (i) Find the surface area of the wall.

    (ii) Can you show another way of finding the surface area of the wall?

    (iii) If four bricks in the middle of the wall are removed to build a window, what the
    surface area of the wall remaining?

    (iv) What is the surface area of the window?
