If all you knew was physiology, clinical medicine and path, you would pass!

As you can see, CAM201 is highly skewed towards pathology, physiology, clinical
medicine, pharmacology with some micro and anat.

Highest Yield Topics (bang for your buck) – this is not all encompassing

Anatomical pathology: Atherosclerosis, valvular diseases, IHD (ischaemic heart

diseases), coagulation

Physiology: action potentials, cardiac conduction, blood pressure, cardiac cycle,

cardiac output, autoregulation (baroreception + chemoreception),
resistance+pressure+flow, CHF, capillary fluid exchange (consider all physiology
lectures extremely important)

Clinical Practice: cardiac examination, clinical signs (hyperlipidaemia), ECG,

Pharmacology: antihypertensive drugs, CHF, anti-anginal, lipid control, anti-arrhythmics,

anticoagulation

Microbiology: infectious endocarditis

Anatomy: valves, coronary artery, valves, common congenital (tetralogy of fallot, VSD,
ASD, PDA etc)

Histology: cardiomyocytes, structure of valves.

REST: have a brief look at a couple days before exam, and definitely the day of exams,
but realise you have hit a point of diminishing returns may better off doing practice
questions.
