The Reason Why Do We take “Being Practical Content Creator in YouTube”


Culture?

We take this issue because we have seen a new culture that is popular in
our society related to the advancement of technology and mass media, YouTube.
One of the articles from CNN that contained the issue that YouTube is the Most
Popular Media Application in Indonesia, now it's no stranger when we hear about
"YouTube ", for example when we did “The Student Study Service” or KKN, we
ask children about their goals in the future, and do you think that some of them
want to become content fillers on YouTube or content creators, this is one
evidence that YouTube is known and Popular for the public and even for
children, of course we often use this application, both for educational and
information media, the YouTube application also provides many educational and
information treatments through the work of content creators, but not a few content
creator that displays things which is not feasible and does not provide an
educational impact, only with a camera and low editing skills to get trending and
adsense, this has become a popular culture lately, which is becoming a practical
content creator. Therefore we are interested in discussing more about this issue,
one of the popular cultures in the current technological era, "being practical
content creator in YouTube" in our country, Indonesia.
Practical Content Creator

Along with the development of digital technology now, many people work
in the digital world. They are often called content creators who are able to create a
variety of interesting content, including photos, videos, designs, and more. One of
the houses that is popular with content creators such as the YouTube platform.
According to the Head of Consumer Marketing, Google Indonesia, Fibriyani
Elastria even now YouTube's content creator in Indonesia has surpassed 122
thousand of a total of 350 thousand in the world. For information, as one of the
biggest video platforms, YouTube also held an event for creators to meet their
fans, namely YouTube FanFest 2018 on October 6 at the Jakarta International
Expo. From this event it was also known, if the growth of YouTube creators also
increased. In 2017 there was an increase of creator side of 63 percent or around
200 thousand creators in one year. Of course, from the large number of creative
content in Indonesia, not a few who follow culture, that is becoming practical
content creator, namely making and uploading content easily and not meeting the
requirements of content creators expected by YouTube viewers, for example
content that is not too concerned with editing skills and does not provide feedback
positive ones. Why does culture become a practical content creator? In our
opinion there are several factors, becoming famous, pursuing trending, getting
adsense to receive a high enough income, one of the content creators told the
media that revenue generated from adsense on YouTube around 30-50 million per
month, of course this is not standard, lots of content creators who can even get
more than that amount. This gave birth to a new culture in the digital world,
namely becoming a practical content creator. Of course practical content creators
have a lot of impacts, both negative and positive, which we will discuss further in
the next section.
