Saint Guido Maria Conforti Choir

1. The servant leaders should always initiate collaboration and communication among themselves and
among the members of the choir. There is no monopoly of knowledge and truth, all are capable of
contributing and expressing one’s thought in what is happening in the group. Despite the superficiality
and ridiculity of some members, they still carry some effective suggestions the group can take for its
betterment.
2. The servant leaders should strive to be committed and reliable personnels in terms of time, effort, vision
and listening. Time is the most precious expression of our commitment, because we convey through our
visibility that we take care of this relationship. Choir ministry is not a haven of time wasters but a haven
of convinced servants of God. Effort is present in our initiative to prepare the songs and line up. It also
implies thinking ahead of what should we do as a group for the next practice. Members find the group
boring when there is no vision or goal to grow in terms of knowledge, purpose and spirituality. Vision of
the leaders is so important that the members are contaminated by their zeal to embark a journey towards
transcending mediocrity and idleness. Lastly, listening is the most powerful instrument to know the
situation of the group through the members and most especially among the people inside the core group.
Listening means to discern together and obey each other. Listening prompts unity among the leaders
because their views agree despite the diverse way of thinking. Everyone should practice receptive listening.
3. Servant leaders is always restless for truth. He or she is not confined in what is taught and what is shared.
We are called to express whatever it is in our heart. Our spontaneity is very close to the truth that we seek
together. Therefore, the capacity to share, to listen, to disagree, to argue and to correct are expressions of
searching for truth. This principle must be practice among us.
