Discuss how the elements of good governance as well as the concepts of public administration are being

practiced/considered and/or utilized in the achievement of your office’s or LGU’s vision. Handwritten in

All PGLU employees have a specific role in being a dynamic instrument and vibrant catalyst in public
service that foster’s excellence in promoting the people’s welfare and ensuring the delivery of services
to all sectors of society. In our office, aside from being faithful to our oath to be the best employees that
maximize production and cultivate good work ethics in rendering services to all our clients, we also help
each other in actualizing “To be the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025.”

 Participatory- although we are in the legislative department we also make sure that we support
and we are part of our company’s vision, wherein we conduct a quarterly visit or tour to
different agri-tourism sites in La Union and promote it in our own social media accounts. Our
participation provides a chance of our Province to expand its reach to the public and to promote
about La Union’s agrarian heritage.
 Responsive – in terms of our administrative function, we respond to the needs and concerns of
the clients as expressed by the clients. In our office, we tackle specific problems that affect our
clients directly. We have sufficient knowledge on the fit between what our clients’ desire and
what we offer that is why we are very responsive to citizens’ demands in least waste of time and
effort. We satisfy our clients without any actions that contradict our public interest.
 Effective and Efficient – The effectiveness and efficiency of our service delivery has been the
priority of our office. We provide essential services to everyone without any discrimination,
especially those who currently have minimal access or no access to the services. Effective
delivery is at the best of our office function that makes us closest to the people.
 Transparent – transparency is being practiced in our office by allowing our clients to review our
performance metrics and judge how well they are being serviced through feedback forms.
 Accountable - we are directly accountable to individual citizens for our particular decisions made
in their individual cases.
 Consensus Oriented- decisions are made in our office after taking into consideration of our
different viewpoints in order to fully understand the different needs of our clients in order for us
to reach a broad consensus of what is best for our clients and how this can be achieved in a
sustainable and prudent manner.
 Equitable and Inclusive – in our office we also prioritize equity and inclusion that is why we
respect and value every clients differences. We minimize bias and recognize and address
systemic inequities which, if unaddressed, can create disadvantage for a certain
individual/client. We make sure that the distribution of services would not be skewed by any
means of discrimination and unfairness. What’s more, inclusion efforts of every staff and
showing how our office will benefit the bottom line.
 Follows the Rule of Law – every program/project in our office is being guided by a basic legal
documentation which includes many of the essential elements of these good governance
practices for an effective project/program implementation

The focus of public administration lies in providing public services to its people. The feeling of
helplessness experienced by a citizen is often connected with unjustified absence of activity, that’s why
in our office we make sure that we provide better services to people who are in need and we seek ways
of better and more open cooperation with the citizens. We ensure that we help and support the present
administration of PGLU as its direction towards the solution of concrete problems of every individual
citizen and population groups and towards securing the functioning of the society as a whole.
