Test on KA 1 Observations Deduction

Heat KA1 gently and then

strongly
Dissolve solid KA1 in distilled
water and filter. Use separate
portions for test (i) to (vi)

(i) Add aqueous silver nitrate

solution
(ii) Add aqueous lead (II) nitrate
solution, then warm it.

(iii) Add dilute sulphuric acid

and iron (II) sulphate. Add
concentrated sulphuric acid
drop wise through the wall
of test tube.

(iv) Add Derarda’s alloy,

followed by sodium
hydroxide solution.
Warm the solution and
test with litmus paper.
(v) Add concentrated
sulphuric acid.

(vi) Add bromine water

followed by
tetrachlorimethane.
