In this present work we develop a study about the implementation of “Whatsapp”
app as a tool in the internal communication among the employees of the school EMEF Estado do Rio Grande do Norte, situated in Maranguape, Ceará. Our objective in this work was to analyze the effectiveness regarding the use of a smartphone app as the communication system among the collegiate bodies of the former school in order to let available in due time the issues, summons and appointments discussed at the meetings, with the view to ensure one hundred percent of counselors attendance at the collegiate meetings. The bibliography of this research is grounded at Communication and Information Technology, in the implementation of a collegiate body in a Public Institution of Middle School, as well as in the organization and interaction between collegiate members and School Management. The approach applied in this study is based in the descriptive research being supported by the study, record, analysis and result interpretation free of inference by the researcher. In order to perform those requirements, an evaluation questionnaire was applied, then after the data collection we could conclude that the use of the referred app does not meet in a reasonably way our initial expectation due the fact that some of collegiate member did not want to use the app. The results highlight that besides it being equipped with computer labs, the former school is still not able to apply some Information and Communication Technologies as tools to strategic planning and execution.
