In this stage, we started from the Hitoe shirt technology and
tried to open our minds toward all the possible fields that
were still unexplored by this kind of technology.

With the mind map we broadened the potential contexts

that NTT data could influence; Work, Health, Perception,
Transportation and Domotics. In the second layer, we dee-
pened these directions, and thirdly we described the drivers
with five questions: where, when, why, what and who.

After clustering the thoughts, we decided that Health was

the most promising direction as it gives Hitoe the potential
to provide significant and authentic value to people in need.
Within the Health area lies an extensive and emerging mar-
ket that is open to technological innovation. Secondarily, we
were interested in the relationship between emotions and
technology, and in an application of that in the health field.
