Oil Temperature
It is also very important to check operating oil
temperatures during pumping especially on extended
pours. Temperatures between 40˚ and 60˚ C after
approximately two hours pumping are quite normal.
Temperatures of 80˚ C will not harm either the oil or
the concrete pump, but there is an indication of an
irregularity within the hydraulic system because
normal oil temperatures should not be as high as this.
Try and establish the cause of this heat increase.
NOTE: If the pump is operating within an enclosed
building or confined space, it is most important to
provide adequate ventilation.
