and water ways. Use absorbent (soil, sand, vermiculite or other inert material). Collect and seal in
properly labeled drums for disposal. Wash area down with detergent and excess water.
HANDLING AND STORAGE. Use good Industrial hygiene and safety practices. The product should be
stored in a cool well ventilated place and out of direct sunlight. If outside storage is necessary, or if

should be considered. UFC tankers must be unloaded by pumps, OSHA regulations prohibit
unloading by air pressure. Optimum storage temperature 25⁰C- 35⁰C
OTHER PRECAUTIONS: Do not store near incompatible materials (Strong acids, alkalis and
oxidizing materials). Avoid excessive heat or freezing.
Use process enclosure, Local exhaust, and General ventilation to keep airborne level as low as
reasonably possible.
Eyewash fountains and facilities for quickly drenching the body should be provided within the

TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION:
Adverse health effects are not anticipated from Methylized Urea. Toxicity of Urea formaldehyde
concentrate is mainly due to presence of free formaldehyde. Formaldehyde toxicological data’s are
given below
LC 50 Inhalation (Rat) 250ppm (4hr)
LD 50 Oral (Rat) 100 mg/kg

ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION: Urea formaldehyde and formaldehyde does not buildup in plants and
animals. Urea formaldehyde is also used in agriculture as a controlled release source of nitrogen
fertilizer. Urea formaldehyde’s rate of decomposition into CO2 and NH3 is determined by the action
of microbes found naturally in soils. Formaldehyde in the air breaks down within a day to formic
acid and carbon monoxide. Do not contaminate domestic or irrigation water supplies, lakes,
streams, ponds rivers or sea.
