REASON FOR CHOOSING AUSTRALIA

Studying and living in Australia is challenging, it requires me to have courage, confidence and
lots of positive attitude .Sometimes, and these characteristics are more influential than a
degree. Furthermore I will access to advanced modern technologies and innovation with
excellent and experienced professors who are expert in their field. Also, Australian universities
and colleges have standard requirement and accreditation .So, degree from Australia is highly
valued all over the world which will help me a lot to put my career in good path especially in my
home country. For those international students who successfully used to complete their degree,
they will soon find that they are competitive in today’s international job market. As an
international student in Australia, we can expect to live, grow and learn in a young, friendly
country full of opportunities. The presence of ESOS (Education Services for Overseas Students)
and CRICOS (Commonwealth Register of Institution and Courses for Overseas Students) rules
and regulations has assured me that any degree pursued in Australia will be of premium quality.
Moreover, ESOS Act framework helps to protect the rights of International students studying in
Australia by giving the right to receive, before enrolling, current and accurate information about
the courses, fees and also gives a written agreement from Institutions before paying fees. This
act promotes refund policy system for International students, even if the institution shuts down,
we are not forced to go back to our country, in any case if it happens then the government takes
the full responsibility. This makes Australia, a financially secure and safe country to live and
study in another fascinating feature is safe environment and weather which is similar to Nepal.
Knowing all of the above facts about Australia and the education system I can assure myself
that I have chosen the right country and right university.

According to the research I have made Australia has always been a best destination for the
students. The education system in Australia is highly preferable for the students. The level of
educational degree Australia has been able to provide is astonishing skill and knowledge to
students. Australian degree is too globally accepted which make the students to feel very much
secured for their career.

So as it Australia is very safe country to stay and study. It contains very low risks for living. So
the social security status of Australia is very impressive. For an international student it would be
a very important aspect that a place where we would be studying is safe enough .And for this
point Australia has proved itself as world's one of the safest place to live. It is one of main factor
for me to choose Australia for my higher studies.

Australia has the third highest number of international students in the world behind only the
United Kingdom and the United States despite having a population of only 23 million. This isn’t
surprising when you consider Australia has seven of the top 100 universities in the world In fact,
with over 22,000 courses across 1,100 institutions, Australia sits above the likes of Germany,
the Netherlands and Japan, ranking eighth in the Universities 2012 U21 Ranking of National
Higher Education Systems. These are strong academic credentials, but our institutions are just
as highly rated as the cities that house them around the country. Australia has five of the 30
best cities in the world for students based on student mix, affordability, quality of life, and
employer activity – all important elements for students when choosing the best study
destination. And with more than A$200 million provided by the Australian Government each
year in international scholarships, we’re making it easier for you to come and experience the
difference an Australian education can make to your future career opportunities. There is every
chance Australia has you covered, with at least one Australian university in the top 50 worldwide
across the study areas of Natural Sciences & Mathematics, Life & Agricultural Sciences, Clinical
Medicine & Pharmacy, and Physics. There are now more than 2.5 million former international
students who have gone on to make a difference after studying in Australia. Some of these
students are among the world’s finest minds. In fact, Australia has produced 15 Nobel prize
laureates and every day over 1 billion people around the world rely on Australian discoveries
and innovations – including penicillin, IVF, ultrasound, Wi-Fi, the Bionic Ear, cervical cancer
vaccine and Black Box Flight Recorders – to make their lives, and the lives of others, better.

Reasons for choosing Sydney

Sydney is one of the developed and largest cities in Australia, which is the state capital of New
South Wales. Sydney is clean, safe and friendly so whoever goes there will feel a homely
environment. Sydney enjoys a temperate climate with warm summer and mild winter. Moreover,
it contains lots of attractive places such as Sydney Opera House, Bondi Beach, The Rocks, etc.

Reason for not choosing Nepal for further studies

It has been easy for every Nepalese candidate to give reasons for not choosing Nepal for
further studies. But the honest answer still remains the same. Nepal is developing country and
all the infrastructures of development including education are underdeveloped. Because of this,
the education system as well as practical exposure for any given course has always been
unsatisfactory. Due to lack of practicality of the course, a student can never truly learn or get
needed experiences. Also the colleges and universities established for nursing are not well
equipped. And when it comes about my future, I don’t want to compromise in any cost. I want to
be in touch with new ideas and technologies which is very important in nursing field. Thus, I
have decided to study in abroad until I finish my studies and I will be back to my own nation to
serve its people.

Reasons for choosing Bachelor of Nursing

Since my early age, I was interested in helping others and serving them. Nursing is a noble and
selfless profession which includes aiding others who cannot fend for themselves. Nurses are
well respected and my father had taught me that it is important to earn respect than earning
money. That’s why I have chosen nursing over other fields. After the completion of foundation of
nursing, I will be able to follow the track of bachelor in the same field. And this is a fast track
degree pathway for my dream to come true.

Studying nursing at Western Sydney University will equip me with a broad set of skills, as well
as hands on experience. I can participate in simulation learning using modern technology,
practicing my skills in a safe environment before I work with real patients. My practical
experience alongside expert clinicians and nurses will have me ready to register and work as a
Division 1 Registered Nurse. I can even join a cohort of Western Sydney University graduates
known for their extensive practical experience.

I had great interest in nursing because it is an honorable jobs with lots of responsibilities same
as of the responsibility of a mother towards her children.

Reason for choosing Western Sydney University

During my research for the universities in Australia, I received numerous advices and
recommendations from my kith and kin. Analyzing all those, I came to the conclusion that WSU
would be the best university for the Diploma leading to Bachelor in Nursing with the reasonable
fee structure and location. Also, studying here would help me grow into a professional nurse as
a registered nurse through academic coursework. Also, the university has flexible pathway
program for my higher study. WSU is one of the fastest growing universities in Australia, with
excellent as well as modern facilities which the students can practice and renowned academics
by the recognized courses, friendly environment, affordable fees and experienced professor. It
consists of 44,918 students which shows great variation. In a well-resourced laboratory and
under the guidance of experts, I believe I would definitely come out as a skilled and well
educated human resource in the future. That’s why I have chosen WSU as it will shape me
towards excellence.

Financial support for the duration of the course

During my studies, my parents will sponsor me for my further education. So, there will be no
problem in any financial matters as they will cover my living expenses as well as the college
fees.

Future plans

My vision is clear and straight. As I have been living in Nepal for 19 years as its citizen, I have
heard, learnt and observed many problems regarding the health issues. That’s why after
achieving all the advanced knowledge I will return back to serve my country.Staying in Australia
is not my aim because I have huge interest and goal to contribute for my country and to bring
change in medical sector. Thus, Australian education and work experience can be a positive
aspect for me in developing my career and achieving my goal.

Learning a course in nursing will equip me with skills necessary to bring out positive change in
health standard of Nepal. It will provide me the opportunities to implement such skills to tackle
health issues. There are great hospitals in Nepal such as Bir Hospital and Teaching Hospital
which requires people with sound knowledge and expertise in nursing. They are required to
evaluate health conditions of different places across Nepal. I can even get chance to work with
the governmental as well as NGOs that works to improve health facilities especially in the rural
parts of Nepal. I wish to contribute my own country with my knowledge and abilities that I
developed and learned from Victoria University.

At last, I want to address that I am a genuine student with proper credentials for entry as a
student and want to contribute my skills and knowledge learnt in Australia for the development
of my society and the nation as a whole. It would be great experience to compete with students
from around the world and gain valuable learning from world renowned experts and professors.
