DIGITAL NOTICE BOARD

2.ABSTRACT:-
Notice board is the one of the best medium to communicate with the mass
media. Notice boards are commonly used at the public utility places. The project,
Online Notice Board is an SMS-based system, designed to improve the noticing
processes.
A Notice Board is a place where people can leave public messages, for
example, to advertise things, announce events, or provideinformation.Online
Notice board is a web application which is engaged in providing up-to-date
articles & notices and other information’s for all the users or student
associated with the particular campus or department. The paper aims at, how
the online notice board can improve the efficiency of the student when it
comes to gaining the information from the college. Online notice board is one
of the applications to improve the usage of notice board of the college by
making it available online and also sends the inform the students about the
notice through SMS & Mails. This web application helps the students to
retrieve all the notices and articles directly through their cell phones, laptops
and computers using internet.
2.ProjectIntroduction:-
The Online Notice Board System is intended for colleges and institutions
where information and file sharing on regular basis plays vital role in the
performance. The proposed system will act as an online notice board which will
make use of the modern communication methodologies and techniques for
information flow. The system is planned to consist of various useful features for
the said purpose.

The proposed system aims to create a platform for issuing notice, sharing
information and files between the members of the institution. Different users shall
have different level of access to the content. In the context of a college, there shall
be four users of the software – administrator, student, teachers and guest. The
administrator shall be able to issue notice, upload files, and view students’
activities on the software. The teacher shall be able to issue notice, upload files (on
a general basis or to a particular classroom), and view result and students’
activities. The student shall be able to upload/download files, submit to
faculty/teacher and view result. A guest will simply be able to view public notices.

3.EXISTING SYSTEM :
Notice boards are commonly used in variety of institutions which we come
across in a daily basis. In the present generation the advertisement notice boards
are being managed manually. This process is difficult to involve in order to put a
notices on the notice board. This waste a lot of things like paper printer ink,
manpower and also brings the loss of time.

It provides only the physical interaction with the it’s users. Due to this, it
has some drawbacks.
4.DRAWBACKS:-
 It is a wasting a time and paper also.
 It does no provides flexibility to make filterations.
 It was inconvenient to view since,we have to go to notice board to check.
 It provides only the physical interaction.
 The paper may be torn or damaged due to bad weather conditions.
 Searching very difficult to see a particular paper.
5.PROPOSED SYSTEM :-
Notice board is the one of the best medium to communicate with the
mass media. Notice boards are commonly used at the public utility places. The
project, Online Notice Board is an SMS-based system, designed to improve the
noticing processes.
Online Notice board is a web application which is engaged in providing
up-to-date articles & notices and other information’s for all the users or
student associated with the particular campus or department.It was designed
to overcome the existing systems drawbacks and provide ease of access and
flexibilty to the user.

6.ADVANTAGES:-
 It is not required to going at College Notice Board see Information
regarding to any event or advertise or a messages.
 The College easily posts all types of message on the notice board.
 Students can easily go through the notices through their logins.
 The management authorities can make the posting and removal of
notices.
 It sends the notices to students through SMS & Mails.
 We may filter content by selecting branchwise, classwise, percentage
like constraints.
