Linear Integrated Circuits Lab

Prerequisites by topics:
1. Understanding of basic linear circuits and principles.
2. Knowledge of basic laws and theorems of electrical circuits.

Course Objectives:
1. To provide the students with hands-on realization of the circuit principles presented in EENT 314.
2. To be able to analyze and troubleshoot simple linear electrical circuits.

Course Educational Strategies:


3. Allow students ample opportunity to demonstrate their comprehension of course materials and related
ideas
4. Related software packages will be used as supplement to the lab manual.

Course Content:
1. Course Syllabus and Format
2. Build a zero crossing detector using op-amp
3. Build and test a voltage level using LM324 Op-amp
4. Build and test inverting a positive level detector using LM324 Op-amp
5. Build and test inverting and non-inverting amplifier using LM741 Op-amp
6. Build a square and triangular wave generation using LM324 Op-amp
7. Design, build and test an active filter circuit with op-amp
8. Build and test a free running and one-shot multi-vibrator 555 timer
9. Build and test a Monstable or one-shot multi-vibrator circuit using a 555 timer.
10. Build, test, and study frequency response of an active low pass filter.
