Course Delivery

Typical methods of instruction may include:

 Delegates will be required to print and hand in or email selected exercises to the instructor.
 Instructor will provide feedback and guidance based on selected exercises.
 Delegates will have to use computer labs or tablets during group discussions
 Faculty supervision to work on any assignment related projects.
 Some of the classroom time will be replaced by online activities, such as instructional videos
exercises. The online material will serve mostly as a supplement and as primary tool for
lectures and exercises that can be conducted better online.

Course Assessment

Delegates will be expected to master a diverse literature, to participate actively in the discussion of
issues, and to take steps, collectively and individually, to advance our understanding of future
directions of planning and scheduling.

This course has the following assessment mechanism:


 One group presentation of a business case
 One assignment of an individual business presentation
 Class contribution and participation

Methodology

 Lectures: approximately 50%


 Group interaction/ team work on practical exercises and case studies: approximately 30%
 Guest lectures/presentations practitioner / lessons learnt

Certification

After successful completion of the course and assignment the participants will receive a certificate of
competence, which carries 36 credits at NQF level 5.
