A proposal for one-day demonstrative workshop and

seminar on 360 cinema and transmedia

The web, video games, movies, TV – today’s world is an increasingly visual
one. The imagery we create has an immense impact on our culture and
personal development. As a professional visual communicator, filmmaker, a
collaborative technician, visual art student or artist. it’s crucial to
understand the history, purpose, and mechanisms of visual media.
The perceptual experience of seeing and representing it has vast
significant meaning in the contemporary world. there are diverse consent
manufactured, distributed to consume the different meaning .so the
maker/artist is facing many challenges to express oneself in any particular
medium .the understanding about the realm of visual media has evolved
extensively on digital platforms as a result of rapid growth in the
technology .
At present in India the realm of the transmedia has moved from the initial
stage to the next level of experimenting but still it hasn't turned out to be an
identifying medium. there is really a dearth of understanding of it in the
public space in comparison with other media. change of taste and crave for
deeper involvement and experiencing the fiction/fictional elements equally
demand awareness. therefore, the demonstrative workshop and seminar
have a significance of its own.
the demonstrative workshop is exclusively on the idea and technology of
360 cinema, emerging as a medium,possibilites and challenges .the
seminar will be focusing on the evolution of transmedia and multi delivery
plat forms in India .mostly it is the presentation of short papers on the
different areas by eminent scholars / technicians vary from content,
technology ,production to distribution.
In the past, through different editions, piff always addressed the
contemporary issues of both social and visual realms. piff is also widely
accepted by youth and students as the gateway to new cinematic
experiences. it would be suggestive to extend the enquiry in to the role of
new emerging media and delivery platforms in the new edition of piff by
organizing a seminar and demonstrative session on the urge of new mode
of expressions and multiple delivery platform
